It was not easy as I watched. Not being able to remove it would mean taking out the wall, vanity, and possibly replacing the entire shower unit. I felt badly that he had to return a second day as he did not have the particular item I needed. I was not upset about not being able to use the water since it had been January in the middle of a shower that it wouldn't shut off. I can't begin to tell you how reasonable the price was as I don't want people to take advantage of Jacob. Rest assured, you won't get a nicer more reasonable plumber with the expertise to get the job done. He runs his business and lives his life with God on his side. Also he is a veteran. Please honor his service in the military by hiring him for all your plumbing needs. I will never bother to call anyone else but Jacob.

He instructed us that we needed to get back with the company to have them get in contact with our home warranty to fix the hole. The receptionist that answered the phone was rude, unprofessional and not knowledgeable about the procedure that needed to be done with correcting and completing the services. Everytime I would call and speak with her the response would be " we finished our part, there is nothing else for us to do!" Its sad that I was at work and was listening to a coworker complain about the professionalism of the same lady just a few days ago. Phone etiquette needs to be practiced!!

Got quotes for repair and replacing my HVAC system from multiple companies. Maynard was the best…read morequote by far and they installed the new system quickly and neatly I really appreciate their help and so glad to have a new system that I hopefully sail not have to repair any time soon. Only negative was I was quoted a smart thermostat and did not receive one. Would have been nice but not necessary. They were also supposed to come and inspect the install and appointments were made and rescheduled a couple of times. They didn't show last week and didn't reschedule this time, so I guess I need to give them a call.

I was having problems with my thermostat not accurately regulating the temperature in my home. I…read morecontacted another provider the week prior who checked my HVAC but was not able to determine the specific reason why the inaccurate temperature readings were occurring. This provider did state, however, it definitely WAS NOT my compressor nor my panel board since these two systems were thoroughly checked and tested. I contacted American Veteran's United (AVU) (formerly Maynard) who came to assess the same problem and said I just needed a new thermostat. The "new" thermostat worked for 2 1/2 days, then went back to inaccurate temperature readings. I contacted AVU again and the same technician came, evaluated the system again, and stated I now needed a new compressor package costing $1499.00. My HVAC was purchased on 11/2024 and should NOT need a new compressor; but the technician stated AVU (formerly Maynard) has no control over the parts received, but if I purchased the new compressor, it "will probably" resolve the problem. I reconsidered the estimate and sought another opinion. My HVAC was reassessed by the previous provider who found (and I personally observed) the AVU technician DID NOT: 1) Connect the "C" wire to the thermostat; 2) Program the "new" thermostat in its entirety (which required using the online programming guide); 3) Reconnect all the outside panels and tubing [with four (4) screws missing & one screw broken off]; 4) Connect the "heat" line from the panel board (which had been pulled out and prevented receiving heat); and 5) Check the fuses to see if they were burned out. The compressor DID NOT require replacing at all! Based solely upon my personal experiences with AVU/Maynard, it appears their HVAC "assessments" have a tendency to be inaccurate and DEFINITELY require a 2nd opinion. Their equipment is marginal at best; and if I had proceeded with AVU's recommendations, I would have spent in excess of $1499.00; when it was fixed for less than $400.00. I believe people of advanced age (especially single women) are a population that AVU targets for "recommended" exorbitant charges. The older population needs to proceed with caution with this provider.

I chose Mid-South HVAC & Electrical after reaching out to seven different companies for quotes to…read morereplace my AC and furnace. Cameron responded to my initial inquiry promptly and provided a formal quote that stood out from the rest. Getting quotes from contractors in Tennessee can be a challenge, but Mid-South made the process straightforward. Their prices were reasonable, and Cameron answered all my questions thoroughly and promptly, so we decided to move forward with the work. I do have to mention that the day before the replacement, one of the crew members came by to inspect the ductwork, which required climbing through my attic. Unfortunately, during that process, he accidentally stepped through the ceiling, creating an 18-inch hole. This incident added a lot of extra work to the project, but Cameron, although not always the most timely communicator, took responsibility. He sourced and paid for the repairs, which included repainting the ceiling and an adjacent wall. I imagine it was an expensive mistake for him and his team. Even though I'll have to hire someone out of pocket to fix the lumpy drywall after two unsuccessful attempts from two different contractors, I'm still giving Mid-South HVAC & Electrical 5 stars, for now. The crew worked efficiently to replace the units, all while respecting our shoeless house policy, which I'm sure was inconvenient for them. The new AC is holding up well through the recent 99-degree heat, and we'll see how the furnace performs this winter. We also have a 1-year labor warranty, which I hope we won't need to use.

That disappointment went away completely when this crew arrived today. Peyton and Randy were earlier than expected. Problem was bigger than expected too. They were kind, courteous, and had good candor. I always enjoy having a service team come to the house and I can cut up with them a bit. They worked hard, they worked fast, and the worked good. The repair was spot on quality wise considering the plumbing challenges of my older home. They even went so far as to try to get the pieces of grass back into place where they had to dig in my yard. There is no other other plumbing service in town as far as I am concerned. Mr. Rooter and this crew will always be my first call for any plumbing needs. They are quick to the job, do a quality job, and charge a very fair up front price for the work they do. These poor fellas were working in the cold water, in the mud, on a cold day and did it with a smile. You simply cannot ask for any better service.
