DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU NEED A FADE OR LINE UP. This guy only specializes in white people hair which is not a slight since he is a little older and may have only served one demographic for most of his career. The problem comes when you show him exactly what you want and he assures you he is able, only to do his own thing completely. I asked for him for a taper and a line up and I had to tell him multiple times to fade to bald because he had my entire "fade" at one length. After I finally got him to do it, he cut into my hair on top of my head and completely ruined the line I had. I never went back. Drive the extra mile and go to Trndsetters. read more

Not at all what I was wanting. I have been growing my hair for a year. Decided to go close to home since Steve had 5 Star and outstanding reviews. After meeting Steve, I showed him several pictures of how I wanted my hair cut. He assured that it was something he could do. I had the pic displaying on my phone while he was cutting it so he can look at it. He just cut it the way he wanted it. It was nothing to what I showed him. He started shaving me and I told him that what he cut wasn't what he agreed to. I had to beg him to use the clippers on the side to take it shorter. I've lived less than a mile from Steve's for almost 6 years and decided to give him a try today. He could tell that my last haircut was not very good and that a lot of mistakes were made. He was right, which is why I was at Steve's in the first place this time around. He is a very skilled barber and has been cutting hair for almost 40 years. He gave me a beard trim and an excellent haircut that looks great. I think he has ruined other chain salons for me, which isn't a bad thing. Be prepared to wait in case he is busy as he works alone, but it is definitely worth the wait. He even ended my haircut with a back/neck massage from a powerful little massager because he said he likes to spoil his customers. He listened to what I wanted then made sure to clarify before he started. He did very well working around my son while my son shifted and turned.
