I've never left a review for any business before, but I feel like I have to share this experience…read more I went to King Barber for the first time because of the high ratings. Unfortunately, this was the worst haircut I've ever had. The entire haircut took about 6 minutes, and Frank did not do a single thing I asked for. I was left extremely unhappy, disappointed, and honestly angry with the result. To make matters worse, I was charged $40 for a 6-minute haircut that looked terrible. I didn't want to cause a scene, so I paid and even tipped $5, knowing I would never return. As I was walking to my car, I looked back at the shop and saw people inside laughing and pointing at me, which made the situation even worse. For a place that's supposedly a step up from Supercuts, this was far worse than my worst Supercuts experience -- and I've gotten the majority of my haircuts there over the years. Don't be fooled by the reviews like I was. Looking back, I regret even paying. The whole experience was extremely unprofessional and disappointing.

I came in today after usually cutting my own hair, and I'm thrilled to have finally found a professional who gave me a cut I truly love. Walking into such a clean and welcoming shop was already a great start. Christian gave me a style I've never had before. I came in with an idea, but after he examined my scalp, he made a suggestion that turned out even better than what I had in mind. He gave me a very low cut with a super cute line design on the side--and I'm obsessed! Not only is he talented, but he's also great to talk to. We had such a good conversation, and he even explained why trimming the top was a good move because of a small dent I hadn't even noticed. The result? I love my cut even more. I immediately booked my next appointment in two weeks--he's definitely my new barber. The shop is super cute, spotless, and everyone there is so friendly. I highly recommend Urban Fellow for both men and women!

Well it was far better than I could have anticipated, a truly fantastic cut. He was so down-to-earth and fun to talk with too. His technique was artful, and took care to ensure all the details were just right. Everything was clean as a whistle and polished by the time I was done, and I walked out of there feeling refreshed and ready to conquer the world. The whole experience was an absolute pleasure and what you'd idealize from a barbershop. A truly refreshing departure from a landscape where so many other places feel dissatisfying and transactional--you know what I'm talking about--where you go in, fork some money over, and come out with your hair a little bit shorter and clippings all over your face and down your neck and shirt, leaving you all itchy. No no, this place was by stark contrast an absolute gem... a diamond in the rough. I could not recommend more highly (why doesn't Yelp let you leave six stars?!) Thanks Connor!
