I have been a customer of Frankie's for many years. He is fantastic and every time I return to RI I make a special trip to see him.

Frankie is so fast, and really nails the cut perfectly! This spot can be easy to miss if just passing by, but don't sleep on him if you're in a time crunch. You won't regret giving his affordable and efficient handiwork a shot! read more

Great cut at a good price! Consistent and quality in a comfortable atmosphere. Easy parking, located on Charles Street.

Frankie is great... He takes walk-ins, I walked in and immediately sat down and got a great haircut. Definitely coming back and definitely recommended read more

My youngest kid always hates his haircuts. This place is 3 min from my house and so good. Waited 15 min, haircut 5-10 min, happiest child I in North Providence. Inexpensive and great cut. They had a good conversation (wrestling, knew one of Charlie's teachers). Frankie is hands down the best barber around. read more

Frankie The Barber - Barbers Near Me - Providence, Rhode Island

Great barber and person. Listens to your requests and pays attention to details. 100% recommend.

Frankie was extremely friendly and put in efforts to understand how i like my hair cut. He is very honest and makes sure you have a friendly experience. I got one of the nicest haircuts iv had in a while today. Would definitely recommend read more

Frankie is my sons fathers friend and he has cut my sons hair a few times and it always comes out excellent. He takes his time on his customers and takes pride in his work unlike other barbers who just rush through the whole thing and do it how THEY want it as opposed to what the customer request's. He's also really patient with my son since he's only 3 years old & is pretty gentle with him as well. I'd recommend any youngster to come here! His prices are also amazing and reasonable! I think he charges $15 for adults and $10 for kids! Not bad at all. I'd definitely take my son here again! read more

Frankie The Barber - Frankie working on Frankie! - Barbers Near Me - Providence, Rhode Island

Went for my first time the other day and had a great experience. After going to many shops I can say that this is the best barber shop in providence!! Frankie is a super nice guy always talking with the customers, the haircut was very fast and exactly what I wanted. Very cheap and great quality. Best barber shop I've been to in providence and I would recommend it to anyone. Will definitely be going back in the future!! 10/10 read more

Name is exactly how it sounds. It's Frankie, he's the barber. Fun to talk to while he cuts your hair, he's efficient and knows exactly what he's doing. No appointments so definitely take the morning/afternoon in case there's a line built up and bring cash. Extremely happy how it came out, will be back until I leave for college. read more

I needed a no-frills barbershop, and this place was perfect. $15 for a quick cut and beard trim? Absolutely perfect. Frankie is friendly, fast and professional. On a morning mid-week there was only one person in front of me, so I was in and out in under 25 minutes. This is now my hair place for as long as I'm here. read more

I just moved here from HI about two weeks ago and needed to find a new barber so I used Yelp. I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed at all! Frankie did an amazing job on my hair (I wanted a #3 clip with a 1 1/2 inch fade)! He also finished off by lining me up with shaving cream and straight razor. I think I found a new barber! He only accepts cash (haircut cost me $14 as of the date of this review). You may also park in the church parking lot on Hawkins St/Branch Ave. He doesn't do appointments so you have to walk-in and wait. I was fortunate to be the only customer at that time! read more

Best cut in Providence! Frankie is always entertaining his customers, and is always welcoming. Laid back & old school environment. His haircuts are always exactly what you want, and he remembers what you want everytime. Highly recommended. read more

The barber does not focus on the customer. Just keep talking and losing his concentration. During the haircut you don't face with the mirror so you never see what is going on. read more

I stopped by Jack's this morning on my way to work, since I was (amazingly) running ahead of schedule after dropping my daughter off at school. I have driven by Jack's many times on Branch Ave. near Charles St., but had never gone there for a haircut. Frank was on duty, and he greeted me warmly. Once I was seated, he asked me how I would like to have my hair cut. This is always a good sign, since some barbers just grab their shears and go to town. During my haircut, Frank asked me how I liked what he was doing, and how the haircut looked. I appreciated this, because there have been a few times when I have left the barbershop feeling unhappy about my haircut. That was not the case at Jack's- on the contrary, I was very satisfied with the haircut I got from Frank. The cost was $14; not including tip. Like the other reviewers have said, Jack's is a great barbershop. Do yourself a favor and get your hair cut there. You will love the way you look! read more

Been going to Frankie for 20+ always felt welcome and never disappointed with the service.

As far as local barber shops go, Jacks is the place that I have been going to on a regular basis when I'm in need of a good haircut. This place is definitely no frills, old school vibe / decor inside but when I sit down in the chair, I know that I'm going to leave there with a good looking haircut. Frankie the barber always does a great job and I really enjoy the fact that at the end of every haircut he finishes off / cleans it up with hot foam and a straight razor trim around the edges. The only downside I can think of is that depending on what time you go, there might be a wait since this place takes walk-ins and doesn't do appointments. But overall, this is a great spot that I can consistently rely on to receive a good quality haircut. read more

I'm was in from out of town and needed a haircut, but am very cautious of places I find online. The other places I found seemed to have mixed reviews and since he was the ONLY place open on Saturday before 10 am (opens at 6 am), I decided he was my best shot. I went there with no appointment and was treated like one of the guys from the neighborhood. I received one of the best fades ever and was very happy with the results. More importantly, it was only him and not someone that works there that doesn't really care if the business does well or not. Finally, the haircut was very inexpensive and I would not only recommend others go, but I plan on coming back when in town. read more

Old school barbershop. Two chairs, lots of Italian pride decorations, haircut is given with care. Frankie cut my hair. He was helpful in addressing my hair problems (it sticks up). He offered a long term solution that no barber I had ever mentioned. Very helpful! High quality scissor cuts with razors on the side. I got the gentleman comb over and it's been my favorite haircut of my life. Wait time was 2.5 hours on a Saturday morning which is typical. The cost was $14. read more

Just went in for my first visit and I am completely satisfied. I would recommend Frankie to anyone. Got a great haircut and a beard trim for an amazingly low price. read more

Frank is the best barber I have ever had in ri. He is a true artist. He says a lot of funny stuff too. Keep u entertained while having your hair cut. I will be back for more hair cuts. read more

My son turned me on to this place and I was so impressed. I thought the days of the old school barber shop were long since passed. That is too bad considering the craft that Frankie and Nino practice is one that should never be lost. This place should have its own TV show since the entertainment is almost as great as the haircut. And I say that knowing just how great the haircuts are. I hope this place stays for many years to come. read more

Awesome barbershop! Got my haircut & beard trimmed. He did an excellent job! The best haircut I have ever gotten. He also trimmed my eyebrows without me requesting which was a nice bonus. The wait was a little long but well worth it. Everyone is super friendly there & the conversations are always fun. The prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this barbershop to anyone. It's more than just a haircut...it's an experience! read more

Frankie has been my barber my whole life he does a phenomenal job theirs no other way to put it. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I love this kind of place. A neighborhood barber, who's a fixture in the community and gives a great haircut. When l walked in the conversation was about boxing but turned to politics then back to sports. Then it was my turn in the chair. The outcome was me leaving with a great haircut and an even bigger smile. It's just a great place. read more

Frankie and Nino are some of the best old school barbers you will experience. The environment is welcoming as well as entertaining for all. The best part is the haircut out does the environment. If your looking for an old school barber with a straight razor shave to finish it off this is the place to be. read more

I brought my 96 year old dad in for a haircut and shave. He came out looking like a brand new man! I have been to a lot of barbers and stylists in my day, but this guy is incredible. Have you ever seen the movie "Edward Scissorhands"? Well, Frankie would give old Eddie a run for his money. He moves his scissors at lightning speed and they have to be of Samurai quality to be able to cut hair while his hands are moving that fast. If I didn't live an hour and a half away, this place would be my go to place for my own haircut. Go see Frankie, you won't be disappointed. Oh, and don't be in a hurry because, if the day I went is any indication, there were 3 people waiting for haircuts ahead of us - at 8:30 AM on a Friday! read more

Frankie is a legend! I have been going to him for 20+ years. Very professional, fun and exciting place to go for a haircut! Remember....I have always been told....if people are not talking about you then you are doing something wrong however if people are talking about you then you are doing something right! Way to go Frankie the barber...keep up the great work! read more

Found this place on yelp after just moving to RI. Went in today and got one of the best cuts of my life... Straight razored my head (usually just shave the sides and back.) without me even asking. The mark of a fantastic barber. Frank is professional, cordial and talented. Wow. read more
