I really appreciated that the dealership didn't charge me anything to look at the truck, and I was only there for about 15 minutes. I headed over to Custom Muffler, where Mr. Brent took a look at it and got it welded up for me. He was very quick, professional, and knew exactly what he was doing. The price was also very fair. I bring my 07 Cadillac CTS with a new engine ECM to be programed because they couldn't program a…read moreused one, I waited for hours in the lobby but the person who was doing the job had finished in less than 30 minutes but walk away leaving the computer he used to program the ECM on the hood of the car each time I take peak there's no one by the car I ended up falling asleep in the lobby at closing time he told me the car starts but died after and I told him that I had change the key cylinder for a more smoother key turn and the key isn't program for the car as yet he told me that's not the problem, and he will have to take a look at my anti-theft system for a couple hundred bucks more even though he already told me they work on a cars that old, he told me that he only took the job just to programmed the ECM, after waiting for over three and a half hours, with no good news on my car, he ask "how do I want to pay?" I get upset and had to leave the car and call for a ride home, the next day I went for my car apologize for being upset, because I realize that he was trying to pull a fast one on me I paid the money, and he accept my apology and told me I won't be able to start the car, he took me where the car was, I took my keys off the seat, pulled the programmed key from the key ring and placed it near the steering column beside the anti-theft antenna and start my car, upon starting the car I noticed the car had a bad misfire I told him about it and he told me that he only programmed the ECM he won't touch the car otherwise on top of the misfire the cluster was dead the windows doesn't work the wipers doesn't work, I had to drive home without knowing the speed I was going then I pulled up my GPS App on my phone that help me get home without going over the speed limit, I plaid around with it until everything start working normal again but it still had the misfire, I took the new ECM out and replaced the old one and the car runs very smoothly no misfire but the old problem came back where it used to start sometime from the ignition and sometimes I had to start it from in the fuse box, but with the new ECM it starts every time from the ignition switch only that it has a bad misfire, I had to buy my own programmer and reprogram the ECM myself, I wasted $155 for nothing just aggravation, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone anymore, they are in it for the money only not the service, the lady at the service desk was very polite and displayed a good customer service.

Avoid Myers tires in Morgan city…read more Don't waste your time going there. I had my truck brought there to check on a click in my front end. Where their employee, Tim Lopez, then got into my truck, drove it like a complete jack ass, proceeded to try and put it on the lift, and lifted wrong causing my fenders to be crushed in and make it where my doors would not open. When confronted, the manager then proceeded to blame it on us for it "having big tires" and claims it's our fault. They are now refusing to pay the 3 grand in damages their dumb asses caused. So save yourself the trouble and the headache of now having to get a lawyer, and go elsewhere. Feel free to share this post and pass the word along, as these people should not be in business.

My daughter's car died and she was looking for a Highlander. There is a shortage of those cars…read moreapparently - they're allocated at random by Gulf States Toyota, the distributor. I live in Houston, newlywed daughter in Baton Rouge. We found the car she wanted in Houston but the dealer here, after refusing a deposit, called in Friday and said the car was waiting, and I drove over to see it. Turns out that was a lie-they had sold the car the day before and they tried to switch me to a used car or a new car in a color we didn't want. Anyway, we went to buyaToyota.com and found one in Morgan City and one in Longview, texas. Either way, we were going to buy a car. I called the Longview guy but his had gold wheels - yuk - and we went to Morgan City. Rochelle and the team there couldn't have been nicer, sold us the car for less than sticker (Houston dealer adds over 4000 in fees, like tinted windows (1600 bucks, and paint treatment for 2400), and financed for half the interest rate that the bank wanted, saving over $300 a month. In addition to being nice and professional, they include lifetime(!) free oil changes and inspection stickers. They included a 240 month/200,000 mile power train warranty. Also, we got there around two and were driving away before they closed. The Houston people give you the "let me check with my manager if we can take that price"/good-cop/bad-cop run around - there is none of that here. Rochelle asked us what we wanted to pay, we said a number, she came back and said a number $150 over our offer. We said we're not going to argue over 150 bucks, so deal is done in fifteen minutes. Kevin the finance guy had three people ahead of us - his finance deal was a discussion about rice and gravy and other good Louisiana food. No "do you want a subwoofer? Monitors in the back seat? How about upgraded wheels or a 100,000 mile tire warranty?" Just a good guy who wanted to make sure we left with the lowest possible payment and most of all, left happy. ;TL;DR version. Morgan City Toyota are honest people doing business in a friendly and professional way. Buy your car here - even if you have to drive over from Houston or Barton Rouge. It's worth the trip. They're great.
