To best convey the impact of Dr. Sharon Garvey's holistic approach to patient treatment here are…read moreexamples of what she has treated for me, some which traditional Western Medicine could not conquer and which have improved as a result of her Chiropractic work, Acupuncture, and Healing Presence. We have targeted treatment for vestibular migraines, Vertigo and resolution of intermittent sinus and inner ear pain. The realignment work on my back has been transformational yielding quantifiable changes. For anyone who has hurt their knees, the fact my knees are stable and pain free after an ACL/ Medial Meniscus injury is SIGNIFICANT. I have managed to avoid surgical intervention. Hip and pelvis realignment, and orthotics have made a HUGE difference in my cadence when walking. Transient foot pain and knee pain from the twisted pelvis, RESOLVED. PTSD, responding well to stress reduction. Even my self esteem is improved as I no longer feel betrayed by my body; I now have healthy compassion for Self. Dr. Garvey has a light touch which is subtle yet deep and healing. I have had experiences with eight other chiropractors, men who have done adjustments when I lived in the Bay Area, Atlanta, northern Illinois and New Jersey. The substantive difference is my body (and my inner child) feel safe with her treatments. She uses an activator tool, so it is as if she is TUNING a person's body with a tuning fork as is done with a piano, vs. employing "muscle". Her approach is never intrusive and feels as precise as the Acupuncture! Dr. Garvey is down to earth and humble as she works so it is all about the patient and not about her. Whether it is treatment to resolve a problem or palliative care, I can recommend her work unconditionally and urge you to leverage her skills and insight.

We did a 1p hot yoga class which was invigorating. The instructor, Sarah, had amazing music choice which is very important to me and she came around to correct my posture whenever I needed it. The heat was definitely intense, but also very relaxing. At the end of the cool down, the instructor came around and put a cold wet towel infused with lavender on your forehead. Never knew I needed that after a session of hot yoga! Serious game changer! After yoga, we toured the whole facility. There's a steam room with a cold plunge bath... I mean, what?! The showers were equipped with Aésop shampoo and conditioner as well as a specialty house-made body wash! Everything smelled so divine, very earthy and natural like a spa! There were also private rooms for naps and massages. After we showered, we headed upstairs for smoothies. The Aegean one was my favorite. It was like having an oatmeal shake! So good! Biân is a state of the art wellness center. Every inch of the place was so mindfully thought out and really evokes a sense of zen being. The aesthetic of the entire place relaxed me and put my mind at ease! If that's not the effects of feng shui, I don't know what is! Highly recommend this place.

I recommend new patients to be cautious of the way they do their billing practices. I was charged about 6 mos after services were rendered. I did not receive any notice via email, mail prior to being charged. The person in charge Elizabeth was unable to convince me that the charges made were for the dates of services rendered. When I got home a I called his office and requested a paid invoice so I could send it on to my insurance company. They sent me an email invoice with a password. I don't have a printer. I forwarded it to my husband's computer because he has a printer but couldn't open it because of my password. I called the office and was told to drive in to get it because they were paperless. I'm 73 years old and this was not convenient and if they are worried about the environment what about the car emissions?? I asked again if they would mail it and I was told no because of the HIPAA laws and they would be fined $10,000 if they mailed me my paid invoices. I said I get my doctor and hospital invoices all the time through the mail and her response was that I should sue them. Needless to say I canceled my next appointment.
