Took lots of time with me to listen and understand my problems, did X-rays, reviewed all my medical documentation, determined that the cause of my pain is the IM rod in my tibia, was able to give me a detailed and logical explanation for why he could not do surgery to remove the rod, and gave me suggestions for how to manage the pain given that surgery was not an option. Night and day experience. If you need an OS in Lansing, I highly recommend Dr. Waterbrook.

I've been dealing with shoulder pain for 5 months and he's just making me wait too long to get answers I need. I don't appreciate doctors who try to give you the run around. Don't recommend this office at all for Dr. McDermott. I had already waited 6 weeks to see him and should have had a mri done while waiting to see him so now I would know my answers I needed. So now I have to wait another month to figure out what the problem is. He's not helpful! Getting refered to someone else because I don't trust this guy. He's terrible!

He truly listens to understand what's going on, he's just what you need. Some days that's a drill sergeant to give you a kick in the behind, some days it's a cheerleader, some a coach, some a friend/supporter. He truly cares about patients and is so accepting of all the diverse people he sees. You can see his connection in the clinic, not only with yourself, but with others. I'm on the road to improvement - I'm not 100% yet, but for the first time in 7 years, I see a light at the end of the tunnel. I appreciate the different approaches (Exercise, Stretching, Cupping, Electric stim, Heat, Massage, Trigger point release, blading) to get the results I need. What doctor basically calls their patient a hypochondriac? yet everyone I've talked to that has had this procedure says yes the numbness goes away but you get other issues.... He made me feel small and to tell me I need counseling like this pain is all in my head is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I will be seeking a second orthopedic to take a look at my arm.
