    Waiting for Dr Bello.
    Paul K.

I needed a ENT (ears nose throat ). I was recommended to Dr. Bello from one of his clients and they also take my insurance. My first visit I came for him to check my ears for heavy wax because I could not hear anything with clearity. No wax, off next door to the hearing test office. Then back to the Dr's. office for him to tell me I am in need of hearing aids. Great. Back to the other office and I pick out my hearing aids in pearl white. I kind of like the color. That was my first visit. The second visit was a follow up and I complained my ears were itching something fierce. He told met stop using Q tips and apply an ointment. Since I know more than the Dr. I did not stop using Q tips and never used the ointment. The third visit once again ears are itching and I feel miserable. He asked me if I used the ointment. Err uh no well I mean I thought about it. That should have counted. He was ready to write a new prescription for me and I asked him how long does the cream last he told me over two years is the shelf life. Uh um I don't think I need a prescription... I am now in my 10 pain and itch free day since I used the ointment. Dang I hate it when I am wrong and the Dr knows more than me. :)

My 95 year old mother needed a hearing aid so she went with a friend to Decibels. She is blind in…read moreone eye and half blind in the other so we felt that getting professional help was necessary. The cost of the heating aids was $3,000. We were told that there is a 30 day trial period and a $350 charge to replace a lost hearing aid. Unfortunately, my mother lost one hearing aid during the trial period. When I called them about the list hearing aid, they said it would be about double that amount. After I told them that was unreasonable, they said that they would charge her $350. The hearing aids cost $3,000 and that seemed reasonable. I was led to believe that the payment of $350 resolved the lost hearing aid issue -- but it didn't. That was clearly a deceptive business practice. She tried a second set of hearing aids, but they were too small, and they would fall out of her ears. So she returned them. At that point, she was out of options. An over the ear type would not work because she can't lift one arm over her shoulder. When my mother said she'd like her money back, she was told that she'd get only $1,500 back. They gave her one hearing aid, but what good is that? They said my mother signed the purchase agreement and it stipulated that she'd get only half back. They claim that the contract says the $350 pays for a replacement but she's still out $1,500 plus the $350. But ask yourself, would you expect a 95 year old, nearly blind woman to read the fine print in this contract? None of this information was mentioned to me or to my mother. The sad part is that now that my mother got burned by this company she's not interested in looking for another hearing aid. My advice -- STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE FROM THIS COMPANY.

Stay clear of these scammers who pray upon the elderly! Auditory Associates uses delay tactics to…read moreavoid providing satisfactory results to their elderly customers and then hide behind this delay (that they created), claiming their hands are tied because too much time has passed! Sadly my 84 year old mother paid over $7,000* to this company for in-the-ear hearing aids. What she received was ill-fitting and poorly performing hearing aids that were unusable. Despite my mother's repeated attempts (7 in-person appointments with Yoelkis Valdes and multiple telephone calls over a 7 month period), to rectify the situation, she was repeatedly told that she needed to "adjust" to the fitting changes, and that "in time", her brain would adjust to the hearing aids. This was simply not true and the so-called adjustment never happened as promised. This process of adjustment and subsequent waiting as instructed by the people at Auditory Associates was simply a veiled attempt to delay the window that my mother had to return the product! When my mother asked for them to either return her money OR provide her with a similarly priced over-the-ear solution, the only solution that regional manager Damian Ferrone was willing to offer was to re-make the product and start the entire maddening process again! That is the definition of "insanity" - doing the same thing over again and expecting different results! My mother acted in good faith, tried repeatedly to resolve this matter with their on-site staff, who pushed back and delayed, then hid behind the defense of timing, and claimed that my mother was "outside of the window" that she could return the hearing aids. She paid $7,000 to these unscrupulous people who left her with hearing aids that do not work and are useless. *Don't even get me started on the outrageous pricing of the products this place sells: claiming that the retail price for the hearing aids was nearly $15,586 and they were so generously giving her a "discounted price" of $7,000! What a bargain! What a deal! More deception! Simply put, these people pray upon the weak and take advantage of the elderly -- taking their hard earned savings and hoping the poor victim will simply give up and go away. Stay away. Stay far far away!
