Unfortunately because of the pandemic, I've had to be on a different insurance for a few months and my regular dentist didn't accept it. Dr. Robb did, and I'm glad because they have treated me kindly and I already know I want to stay with them when my insurance changes yet again in a couple of months. My first visit was my reg "6 month" visit that I was a few months late on. I have to get periodontal maintenance so I was hoping the hygienist would be good and she was awesome! Alicia did a good job not only with my sensitivity, but she was kind and gentle. Met Dr. Robb and she was really nice. Had to go back today for a couple of cavities and her and the assistant did a good job of keeping me comfortable. I believe there are another 1or 2 dentists there. I'm sticking with her! The office is small, & I'm ok with that. Coming from a bigger place, I realized I don't need all those extra frills-coffee, water, cookies. TV! I did get a temperature check both times, staff wears masks, as do customers, and I had to fill out a questionnaire both times. All good precautions for any viral sickness really..... I'll be coming back and staying loyal to Lapeer Dental Center for my dental care as well as my family and friends. The office is hospital surgery room clean and the receptionists, hygienists and dentists are friendly and funny. It's nice to feel welcome and appreciated. Lots of good parking spots close to the office. Clean area downtown with lots of shopping to do after your teeth are feeling fresh from your cleaning. Give them your dental business and you'll be glad you did.

At…read moreone point the office staff sent us to collection though they knew full well we were awaiting to hear from the insurance company, then they laughed at our frantic queries about it. (Well, I guess it's not their credit rating that was affected by it.) My son was not given a retainer after his first round of an expander, when it was time for the second round, he had lost all the expansion and has to do it again. The day we were to get his second expander put in (after the second consult etc.), my son was escorted in. Then I was escorted to the office (I thought it was to get the payment book etc.) only to be told, "No, we won't start on this today, he needs to get those wisdom teeth out." What? We couldn't be told before this? I wouldn't send a dog I didn't like to this practice.

Just received a bill in the mail for the full amount of services. Look up out EOB and looks like they are now out of network for our insurance but did not tell us (good thing he did not go back for all of that work he needed done as it was roughly $5,000). Called the office to inquire as we have been there recently and was very rudely told that they would have told us they were not in network when scheduling (they absolutely did not). They actually told my husband how much insurance he had left to use at the visit so not sure how exactly they supposedly told him they weren't in network. I have an actual printed estimate they gave us on how much insurance coverage we had left (you can see it on my google review). I would avoid this one unless you want unexpected bills.

This office is completely unprofessional and a waste of time. My boyfriend has had multiple…read moreconsults, including a debreatment, and has been in constant pain while we waited for his second insurance to start. I scheduled his appointment a month in advance and asked specifically if they would be starting treatment (a root canal) and was told yes. We show up after waiting a month, and it's just another consultation. No work was done. Then we're suddenly told he needs another cleaning before anything can be done -- something that was never mentioned before. So we sat there for two hours, with him still in pain, for absolutely nothing. But the real reason we'll never be coming back is because of the old woman in finance (they don't give out employee names apparently lol so I'm unsure of her name). Anyway, she was one of the rudest, most unprofessional people I've ever encountered. She walked in already flustered, defensive, and had a horrible attitude from the start. Instead of listening or trying to help, she blamed us, said the front staff "wouldn't make that kind of mistake," told me I was wrong, and then called me rude for asking basic questions. She told me to leave the office, and as I was walking out, she laughed at me. Full-on laughed. It was incredibly disrespectful and honestly unbelievable. After everything, she had the audacity to ask my boyfriend who I was and why I was so mad -- as if she hadn't just completely disrespected me to my face. Look, I know I was upset, and maybe I came off blunt. But my boyfriend has been in pain for weeks, we waited a month for this appointment expecting actual treatment, and were misled. I had every right to be frustrated. She later called to apologize, clearly because she knew she crossed a line. But that doesn't undo how she acted. She was mean, condescending, and completely out of line, and I have no idea how someone like that is allowed to work directly with patients and families. We were already frustrated, but she is the reason we're done with this office. Her attitude and behavior were completely unacceptable. If this is how they let their staff treat people, I wouldn't trust them with actual treatment either.
