I called Steven Miller for a divorce and this is what I got. Let me tell you what I liked. If he said he would call me at a specific time, he did. Steven Miller usually reached out the day prior to an upcoming hearing and after to keep me in the loop. I really appreciated that. The mediator that he recommended for us was great! Her name is Lisa W. I believe I'm not sure about the last name. She got me things I didn't even ask for initially. Everything was done online. I appreciated how he kept me comfortable through the process specifically during mediation. What I didn't like was the price that I was given initially, is not what I paid in the end. Steven Miller gave me a price for an uncontested divorce. He stated that because my ex husband served me papers it will now be a contested divorce. The price went up $2000. My ex husband and I agreed on everything we fought over nothing. The problem is, I went to the courthouse to get a copy of my divorce and it clearly states on the documents that my divorce is UNCONTESTED, but I paid for a contested. I don't understand everything about the law but I can read. So I didn't appreciate that. I had to do a QDRO and his secretary told me that the courts will take a long time to sign the order, things have been backed up. I started that process around June, because Karima set an expectation for it to be a long wait. I waited a month before reaching out again. We had about 3-4 emails between us. The last two around the end of August beginning of September. Karima said to me that the papers are signed and she has enclosed my paperwork in the email. The problem comes in when I open the letter, I see the judge signed this since July and Im just getting it in September. I didn't appreciate that either. Would I recommend someone else here? Probably not!! But using his service isn't a terrible thing. I don't even know what to say that would help you decide. Ask as many questions as possible. I know people that paid way less for a divorce that had way more than me and my ex to divide. Best wishes on this journey!!! read more

Where to start. nightmare dealing with this man. over year and a half to get to court. ex wife had no attorney and he still lost the case. he never requested a court reporter to record the case now I have no chance for an appeal. this lawyer constantly lost my files and had to keep faxing him my taxes over and over. After he got my money he fort me tooth and nail the whole time up to the court date. What started out as 1,500 turned out to be over 5,000 dollars he took me for. The case was for a alimony modification. The biggest mistake of my life. Now my life has been destroyed. This guy is for the other side. just want to put this out there I hired this lawyer July 5th in my case nothing has been done he told me one thing then another I kept losing had to prove hide the evidence he kept telling me that I was in patient kept telling me that I was not listening would not do the following things he said he would do as far as going after my ex for the charges paying for the guardian at Litem he's a crook I have reported it to my credit I would just like to let you guys know that if you're looking for a lawyer and you don't want to get ripped off and you actually want to win your case do not however he is also threatened me and regards to things that I've dealt with in the case stating that he's the only one on my side and he'll go against me and he's also told me that he's really close to the lawyers so he can get it his way it's been a lot of uneasy issues I've been arguing more I feel like I he was hired on my opposing team I also feel like I've done way more work than he has I think I should have been the one that has gotten paid so just as a honest citizen this is not a lawyer when you go into his office they treat you like really bad they treat you like your non-existent and he expects people to be happy with his service however I have messages and proof to show that he has threatened me and told me that I would lose the case and basically he will go against me when he has done nothing that he told me he would do be careful with who you hire especially if you're in a case where you don't have the money and all they're looking for is money which he took an upfront payment and did absolutely nothing in question my ability for everything when I had a doctor who was willing to get subpoenaed who he refused to do it when he finally did it the doctor was out of town so I lost my case because of him and now he's threatening that I will lose my kids because they wanted a mental evaluation however it was dropped but he would know that if he was actually there however I had also asked him to do that on the other side he had did not get a lawyer pay the extra money or someone who's going to not do what you hire them for.... read more
