I purchased LegalShield specifically to establish a trust to protect my family's future. I was directed to GlantzLaw as the servicing firm for South Florida, but my experience was extremely disappointing. After providing my information, I was told an attorney would contact me. While someone did reach out and discussed pricing, I later searched for that individual on the Florida Bar website and could not verify them as a licensed attorney. That immediately raised concerns. I then searched the firm itself on the Florida Bar website and found several listed attorneys. I attempted to contact one directly by phone and email, but received no response. The lack of communication and follow-through from this firm is unacceptable, especially when dealing with something as important as estate planning. Reminding them to send emails to me. 5 days for a lawyer to call me back so I could remind them to send me an email. Fortunately, I had a fairly small matter to deal with. Working with Glanz Law has been the worst experience I have had with a law firm. I retained them to do a run of the mill Rev Trust after my husband died. It took 9 months to get them to complete the request and obtain a tax ID number. I never heard from them, I was constantly reaching out to the legal assistant asking about the progress. I spoke with Joan Wallis thru Legal Shield. I explained my situation. She sent out a certified letter. She let me know when they responded and was sending a second letter. This letter had to go through regular mail since it was a po box. Joan was supposed to contact me and let me know when the letter was drafted so I could approve it. I heard nothing from her so I complained to LegalShield. After speaking with them , I still don't know what happened. She dropped off the face of the earth. So then I received a call from a Tim Wilson from Glantz Law as well. He left a voicemail I called him back the same day. This was a week ago and I've yet to hear anything from anyone. I spoke with LegalShield again and told them about this incompetence and she said she has record that they state they sent the second letter and they tried to get a hold of me and could not. This is false false false! I've received many emails from Joan and I received phone calls from Joan they have my email and my phone number. I checked my spam nothing is there. They never sent out the second letter and they know that I can't prove it since it was not sent out certified. Do not use this law firm! Even when I called and spoke with a customer service rep by the name of Janay she had me on hold for a very very long time and when I asked her name she hung up on me. I had to call back and speak with a very nice person named Jean who helped me out and notated everything I had said. Jean was also disturbed by this. Never again. First, they confused state. Second, they confused the south and north of the state. Third- an attorney who said he didn't know what to do. Fourth- an attorney who accepts papers, approves she got it, but never uses information from them, making the letter without dates, without the recipient's name, and without making sure there was proof of delivery. New drafts, and new mistakes although we discussed everything in detail. It takes weeks, and months because there is no chance to contact a lawyer, you give a call, they put a note you wait for a call, and they call you back next week..or there is a need to call again. I talked to them rectifying their omissions and I felt like I bothered them. I lost 4 months and we didn't even manage to send a letter the way I asked them to send. Instead, they told me that they never got my paper (although they confirmed it before they had gotten it). Glantzlaw doesn't take responsibility for that, saying it is the provider's issue and better contact them... in their records, everything looks like I get service... I was assigned to them through Legal Shield. I contacted them about 3 issues over the past year that I was seeking legal information/advice on. Each time was a negative experience and I never successfully got the information that I was looking for after multiple calls. They took little ownership on helping me and would reference other attorneys or not call back at all. Unorganized, rude, unprofessional, and jaded. Absolute joke of a company and legal representation both Legal Shield and Glantzlaw. The attorneys do the bare minimum and promise to call back and then they don't ever call back at a time where the time works for both parties. When you schedule an appointment with them they seldom ever call on time and if you miss the call because they've called late its impossible to call back in and reach them as they've already called someone else. If you are lucky enough to speak with an attorney they are very short fused on the phone, have little to no patience, talk to you in a manner where they couldn't be bothered by your case or by what you're experiencing in terms of their lack of service, and try and get off the phone call as soon as possible when it takes days and weeks just to get in touch with an attorney in the first place. When they do call back they do so whenever its convenient for them, and if you're unavailable when they call you back when you call them back they can't be reached no matter how many times you call and even if your case gets escalated to a supervisors attention or you get your call transferred to a supervisor they never pick up either and if you leave a phone message the supervisors never call back. Absolute joke of a company and service. The collections department is more proactive at calling you to get your money then the attorneys are proactive at calling you back or pursuing your case to begin with or giving you emails or updates or your case. Once the attorneys demonstrate they aren't handling your case appropriately and you begin to show any signs of frustration they use that against you as an excuse to resign themselves from your case and then don't even reassign you an attorney when they say they're going to, you end up having to call back in and wait on hold again for prolonged periods of time before reception answers the phone only for them to put you on hold again for prolonged periods of time while they try and reassign you to an alternative attorney. Countless hours have been wasted on hold trying to reach an attorney at glantzlaw through legal shield. The phone reception team is placed as middle men in between you and the attorney when once a case is developed you should be able to contact that attorney directly as to not waste time and create unnecessary phone tag situations and being kept on for long periods of time that add up to hours overtime. The attorneys themselves are short of patience and and have no diligence and don't pursue your case strongly enough or fight to get legal justice. They occupy space and go through the motions more than they actually care about taking appropriate action and fight to get the client proper results in a timely manor and the whole time they act like they couldn't be bothered. You can tell all the attorneys are jaded based on their lack of will to do their job to the highest degree of professionality and once they've hit their patience limit which is a very thin margin to being with they love to use excuses and specifically the phrase "I don't get paid enough for this" and then say "I'm resigning from this case and will transfer you to another attorney" and then ultimately dropping your case while in the middle of an open case and then don't even bother to transfer you to another attorney and then they cut the call, and then you have to call back in to wait on hold again for prolonged amounts time while waiting to be assigned to another attorney, and then you have to wait for multiple days or weeks again before getting in touch with another attorney based on when their schedule availability is, and then the whole sequence of events starts over again. I would specifically avoid working with attorneys Carlos Christiam Cardenas, Melvin Luntz, and Jo Ellen Vork at Glantzlaw and would avoid working with Legal Shield and Glantzlaw all together and not waste your time or money and find another more professional company. I'd call the next day and he would call back and when I could not pick up, I called back immediately and he was not attainable. The same days they told me he would call back he did not. I am not happy with my experience with them. I got in touch with them about 3 weeks ago and the receptionist said an attorney will call me back. Then the receptionist called again after few days for more info. Then again. I also followed up to speed up the process. 10 days went by and still no action. Then an attorney happens to call me back all of sudden which I could not attend since I was out. I called back after I got back and then again the same freaking process.
