We'd interviewed other realtors before calling John, whom we'd met years before when he was selling our neighbor's home. We were concerned with the numbers we were hearing from one realtor, and the same realtor forgot to include our permitted addition in the home size when doing estimates (it wasn't a large home to begin with). So we decided to call John. Best decision we ever made. The for sale sign had barely touched the ground before we received the first offer. We ended up accepting that offer. We sold for $90,000 more than another realtor had estimated we could get in a best-case scenario. It literally pays to do some research on the broker/agent you are considering, and then you should hire John Seffker!

"Let me do my job." These words were kindly given to us last fall, as my wife, myself, and our…read moreanticipation sat with Mr. Seffker reviewing the day we spent touring Granada Hills for our first home. Prior to meeting Mr. Seffker, my wife and I met with several different realtors all with whom we found ourselves repeatedly misinformed, misguided, and misunderstood. Being first time buyers, the process of purchasing a new home was both foreign and overwhelming to us. However, Mr. Seffker walked us though each and every step of the way, holding our hands (at times very literally), which allowed us to survive the weeks that followed . He was extraordinarily patient, responsive, and conscientious. He was diligent and thoughtful and kept an ongoing, open line of communication with everyone involved in the process. He always encouraged us to make our own decisions and was cautious not to steer us in any one particular direction, so there was never any pressure or obligation. Numerous questions about brokers, movers, inspectors, contractors and even designers were answered knowingly with: "I have someone who can help you with that" and every referral we used was outstanding. Admittedly, my wife has a tendency to be somewhat worrisome, but with his knowledge, experience, and character, Mr. Seffker provided her with reassurance and confidence. While I don't consider us pessimists, we never would have imagined in a million years that we would have found such an amazing home our first time buying. So please, take the words that were given to us and let him do his job. You will be so absolutely thrilled you did!

And of course, vitally important, he knows how to negotiate to get you what you want when the time comes. He recently helped us sell a unit, and we are extremely happy with the outcome. Michael, got involved and pushed to help get this disaster rectified all whilst continuing to look tirelessly for new buyers (our first offer fell through because of the insurance issue). No problem or hurdle was too big for him. He expertly stood beside us from beginning to end. He helped get the unit ready for the market, guided us through all the steps along the way, was always in communication (especially since we were in Europe during this time) and got us TOP DOLLAR! Also he did all the showings himself which is another huge plus. Thank you so much Michael Bobadillo for your tireless efforts, including keeping our spirits up even when things got "bumpy along the ride". We are incredibly grateful and deeply happy! They are always thinking two steps ahead and guiding you through the intricacies, both planned and unplanned, of buying and selling your home. After a long home search on my own, I was lucky enough to meet Michael at an open house he was selling. His warm, inviting demeanor coupled with his deep knowledge of the Westchester neighborhood gave me the confidence that he could help me navigate finding the right home. Jamie and Michael build relationships with their clients, vendors and community and the only reason I found my home was because of their relationships. They learned about my now home as it was falling out of escrow and within 24 hours I was able to view the property and put in an offer. Being able to place an offer before the home went back on the market was critical for me and took the crazy bidding war out of the picture. For this I was grateful! Beyond being my realtors, they were the project managers of my home renovation. They led a 6+ month renovation that included: managing the contractor and his team, securing industry pricing for materials (including windows, exterior doors and home appliances!) and recommending vendors for the best quality hardwood floors, tiles, plaster, custom cabinetry and more. There is no way the renovation would have turned out as beautiful, and as quickly as it did, without their project management. Next came selling my condo. They guided me through pricing the condo and the timing to list the condo in order to capitalize on buyers' interests, hired the VERY BEST photographer to capture the space and coordinated and managed all the little things that needed to be addressed before going on market. I couldn't have dreamt of a better outcome! We received multiple offers within 5 days of going on the market, 2 offers over asking and ultimately set a sales record for my building! Jamie and Michael are honest, professional, incredibly responsive (no matter day or night) and take these business transactions personally. I always felt and knew they had my back. They care deeply about their clients' happiness and wellbeing. I loved working with them both and if I could, I'd give them 100 stars.

They helped us navigate a tricky market in an extremely transparent manner - always giving us honest & trustworthy feedback on houses or areas we were interested in. They weren't just trying to rush us into any old house, they wanted us to find the right fit for us & our future family. Our target was to get into a house within a year. I'm just gonna say it....Tom Hickey is one of the best real estate agents on the planet. Yeah, I…read moreknow that's an outrageous claim but he's that good. I've worked with a few and Tom is the most patient, friendly, selfless person I've ever worked with. Imagine a realtor from a small town/country who is friendly, attentive, and thorough. He has gone above and beyond to help me prepare for the sale of my home. Tom has an amazing work ethic and other wonderful qualities which make him an excellent realtor. I am a week from closing escrow on my home (in Mt Washington, LA) and just had to write a review about this amazing agent. He didn't ask me to review him and would never ask such a thing. Great experience deserves a genuine review. So here's the story: 3 years ago I purchased a home and the sellers agent was Tom Hickey. I had a great experience working with him on the other end. Fast forward to 2015, the market is high and I was looking to sell my home. I asked Tom to be my realtor given the fact that he had sold my property 3 other times in the past 10 years (wow, right?). From the get-go Tom has been on top of everything. He isn't pushy or intimidated by other agents. He gives it to you straight. He's been in his field for a very long time. He goes beyond his job duties. For example, he planted flowers in my yard and continues to water them with each of his visits. He brought over 9V batteries to replace all of my smoke/carbon alarms so they would pass inspection. He spends extra time explaining in layman's terms exactly what's going on during the whole process. I have never felt confused by his explanations. I've never felt as if he's blowing me off. He tells his clients everything every step of the way. He immediately answers my phone calls almost always and answers my questions with great detail. I have never felt as if he was annoyed or pressed on time when speaking with him about the house. He has been amazing. I 100% recommend him if you are selling your house in the LA area. He lives on the West-side and I live on the East-side. He is very flexible with location. I could keep going on but the review is getting long. Call him if you need a great agent. Just speaking with him on the phone will give you peace of mind of his expertise and genuineness.
