Steve Mansell won the contract to replace the front section of my roof, and do some guttering and lead flashing. he felt that it was OK to spend a day (in March) romoving all of the tiles, and then go and work somewhere else for the next four days whilst nights were going down as far as -6 degrees.
now that he has restarted, he is making a good job of it. I'm glad that it is being managed for me by someone else, because I'm not confident with builders as single woman and he didn't take my question about where he had been seriously.
the final task for them was repairing a hole in my bedroom ceiling through to the attic. apart from making a mess, they did a good job.
overall, if he could cut corners he did, but I have a watertight roof, and no hole in my ceiling. read more
