Dear Store Owner, I am writing to share a disappointing experience my husband and I had with a purchase from your store during our recent vacation. My husband purchased a ring and bracelet for me as a special gift, spending close to $300 total. Before making the purchase, I specifically asked the sales associate multiple times whether both pieces were sterling silver and made with natural turquoise. We were assured that both items contained natural turquoise and sterling silver. Since returning home, I have had the ring examined by a local jeweler and was informed that the stone is actually dyed howlite rather than natural turquoise. As you can imagine, this was upsetting to learn, especially because the items were purchased as a meaningful vacation gift from my husband. What is most frustrating is that we relied on the representations made by your sales associate when making our purchase. Had we known the stone was not natural turquoise, we would have made a different decision. Unfortunately, we do not live locally, making an in-person return impractical. However, I wanted to bring this matter to your attention and see whether there is anything you might be willing to do to address the situation. This review is for the Waterfront location. The pieces are wonderful with a nice selection in this smaller location. The woman working, however, made this shop. She was fun to talk to and they had a lot of designer dupes that were excellent. I found many items I loved. My friend and I also stopped at the Broad Street location because it was a bigger store. The service we received there was not nearly to the level of the Waterfront location. In fact, the woman working (which I will label as "grumpy") did not greet us when we walked in, and while we were walking around, she had turned the sign to closed. So, when we walked out, we had to turn the handle a different way because she had technically closed the shop. It was only 4:45pm. She also started cleaning the floor near us as if to say "leave now". It was clear she wasn't interested in helping us, nor was she interested in us buying anything. I would recommend this store, but go to the waterfront location and enjoy yourself. read more

What a delightful shop. The pieces are lovely and unique. It was nice because I prefer silver jewelry. Store is set up beautifully to showcase the jewelry. A woman greeted me as I came in. She left me alone to look around. Then as I passed one case she explained to me all about it's specialty. They seem to know when to help and when to back off. Lucky for me that while vacationing with friends we found that Sterling Works had just opened in Lake Geneva! Featuring a fantastic selection of sterling silver jewelry, starting at a very reasonable price point, going higher on some very luxurious pieces. Owner has a great eye for detail, his store is beautifully set up. He wants his jewelry to look fantastic on his clientele, he offers his recommendation if you are trying to decide between styles. I was in Lake Geneva WI on 3/16/19 and stopped in to Sterling Works. It is a lovely shop and the clerk working that day was awesome. She was super helpful. I bought a pair of earrings and was able to put them in right away as she directed me to a mirror. However, within a week, the stones that were in the earrings fell out. I tried contacting the store to see if there was anything that could be done about fixing/replacing the earrings (I was only able to find one stone). In doing a Google search I found a Facebook page. I went there and saw that they had a website. I tried going to the website to see if there was a way to contact them. I got a page cannot be displayed. I sent a message via Facebook with pictures of the earrings and the receipt. I never heard anything back. I called the phone number that was on the receipt . I left a message on the VM but I wasn't sure that it was actually Sterling Works as it didn't say anything about being for the shop and didn't receive a call back. While I loved the experience that I had shopping in the store and the jewelry that I looked at, I am frustrated in that I am not able to get a hold of anyone to see if there is anything that can be done with the earrings that lost their stones. I live several hours away so I can't pop in to the store either. read more

Workers here are extremely rude and are very quick to judge. A group of my friends, all 17 and 18; walked into the store eager to purchase a ring. As we were looking at rings, the employees were being very disrespectful and scolded us to leave thinking we would steal. They assumed we were picking the rings up and putting them in our pockets, keep in mind all of us did not have bags nor had clothing we could put rings in. We simply picked up the ring to look at and would then put it back. One of the employees even mocked us asking us if we were planning on hanging out there for the entire day, when we entered the store 5 minutes prior. I have never been discriminated against for being a teenager and each one of us had more than enough money to purchase rings from that store. I am utterly baffled at how one could just assume and harass my group of friends, whom we all have wealthy parents and jobs and most likely have more than their bank accounts do. I am sincerely disappointed in the service and will not be going back nor recommend anyone visiting the store. read more

I wandered in looking for a gift and left with a great experience! There is a wide selection of sterling silver jewelry in multiple price ranges that made my shopping so easy!
