This time recently I was proved wrong by my thoughts of always having bad luck or bad representation. From the first time I contacted Liz at Johnson Law Firm I never had a doubt on how hard she cared and how hard she worked on my case. If you knew my past you'd definitely take my advice and let them see how they can do the same they did for me. I hope I never need be in the situation to have to have them representation me again but I guarantee if that day may come I know exactly who I will call. I guarantee and promise if they do what they had done for me you'll feel the exact same way. Liz was better than the best and her persistent goes above and beyond her pay I'm sure and hope she continues to succeed and make the money she deserves and helps people like myself get the justice we deserve!

I now live in WI but my divorce proceedings are in another state and I had a question as to whether I could hire an attorney from the state I currently reside in. Just a simple question. I had contacted three other law firms before with the same question (Di Renzo and Bomier, Remley and Sensenbrenner and Sterling Law Offices) in which I received zero response from. I sent an e-mail to Herrling Clark and had gotten almost an immediate response from Lois Staus who is the paralegal for Kelly S. Kelly and Paula Hamer answering my question. Even though I have not used this law firm before, it is clear they are there to help you and not just there for their own financial gain. My contact with the other firms with zero response shows if they have no financial gain from you, they won't help. Here is what I posted on google review: Once initial divorce case was done, Attorney Matuszak dropped off the face of the earth and refused to meet or even communicate with her client. Horrible representation. Firm doesn't have their client's best interest in mind. Update - I am not a client of this firm, someone I know is. My feelings about this firm's actions are my own. 2nd Update - Since posting this review, this firm has dropped their client I mentioned in my initial post. This client is in the middle of a messy divorce post-judgement case and has a hearing next week. All because I, not a client nor case party, voiced my opinion of how they treated their client, they dropped him immediately. The client called the firm to inquire as to why he was dropped. Dan Hoff stated it was because Amy and her client don't "see eye to eye" (even though nothing has been discussed) and there has been a breakdown of communication. He also stated that Amy was too busy with a current trial to respond to her client. He further went on to state that the client was rude to his staff (all because the client tried to schedule an in-person meeting to discuss his case). These things were never mentioned to the client prior to my google review. This type of behavior is childish and unfair. They clearly cannot take any sort of critique to improve themselves...Anyone looking into this firm for future representation should stay FAR AWAY! Do not give them your hard-earned money... they WILL NOT represent you. Only their pockets!

Peter Culp did an outstanding job representing me. Peter represented me in a custody, child…read moresupport, and contempt hearing. I had an attorney I previously worked with retained for the hearing but he failed to do a conflict of interest check until the last minute and withdrew from the case 2 days before the hearing. I contacted Peter Culp law offices the afternoon before my scheduled hearing, explained my situation, and Peter agreed to represent me with less than 24 hours notice. I asked Peter if he could reschedule the hearing delaying it by 2 months. The next morning Peter informed the court he was representing me, requested the hearing be delayed, and we were granted the 2 month extension I asked for. I was unable to make it to the rescheduled hearing due to the strict contractual obligation I have with my job. Peter said he would smooth things over with the court commissioner and attend the hearing in my stead. Peter indeed smoothed things over, I suffered no penalties for not appearing. Peter diligently fought for me and the outcome greatly exceeded my expectations. I was expecting to be found in contempt and I was almost positive I would be sanctioned by the court with SOME sort of penalty, I was not. I was expecting my child support to substantially increase. It was not. I was expecting custody changes. No changes were granted. Peter did an amazing job and I am left truly impressed. I was summoned to court to have child support, contempt penalties, and custody changes. None of the things the opposing party was trying to accomplish were achieved and you cannot ask for more than that from an attorney. 10/10. I would have Peter represent me again 100%. I have seen a review stating Peter is rude. I do not agree. Peter is very direct and he sets realistic expectations. Sometimes you will be told things that you won't like. I do not believe that is being rude. I would rather have an attorney set realistic expectations and be direct rather than sell me fantasies about rainbows and butterflies. Telling me everything is going to be okay, then be angry later when it is not. I appreciate Peter's direct forthcoming realistic approach. I had an attorney sell me rainbows and butterflies just to be disappointed when none of the things that were promised materialized. I also want to add Peter is very knowledgeable and not difficult to reach. Peter HIMSELF took my phone call when he was leaving court at 3:30 in the afternoon to hear about my hearing and agreed to take my case when I had court the next day at 9:15 am. Not many attorneys would do that on less than a day notice and I am very grateful he did. Whenever I would ask about things related to my case Peter had the knowledge off the top of his head and would respond with an answer immediately. I can tell by how quickly Peter answered he has a lot of experience in family law. He knew things other law firms did not know and were incorrect about. Peter accomplished everything I asked him to do, from start to finish. I would retain Peter Culp in the future without a doubt. I was in a very serious situation and Peter got me through it.

My divorce proceedings are in another state and have gone on ridiculously too long. All I wanted to know was if it was possible to hire a different attorney in the state I now reside in. Simple inquiry, right?! I was told he was on vacation and he would do an over the phone consult the following week when he got back to let me know if this is at all feasible. I received no phone call, no e-mail, no response whatsoever. I guess if they see no dollar signs they aren't interested in helping someone with a simple inquiry. What this says (to me), they will be there if they have a financial gain to earn from you. Btw....I did make two other inquiries to two other law firms which I also had no response (I will also Yelp) before I contacted Herrling Clark Law Firm who was kind enough to at least send a simple e-mail back.
