a crowd of people at a nightclub

Love, love, love. This club is made for dancing! The sound system is best in class, and the dance floor has a little bit of "give" for all-night dancing. At the same time, there is ample space to sit and lean back if you want a break. No alcohol served but tons of drink options, including coffee and vitamin water. There are also handy vending machines. I found the bartenders to be quick and nice. Non-douche-y crowd, as well. Respectful and devoted crowd. Only bummer is the prison-like toilet seats, which have no seats. Not great if you're not in the mood to squat. I look forward to coming back!

Stereo is an afterhours institution. It's huge. It's sound system could drown out a launching rocket. You'll move to it because you can't help it beats rattling you from the inside out. Looking around everyone is ecstatic. It's 5am and a thousand people push on the insides of this sound box. The sounds emanating from the booth are deep and soulful. When the bass drops you realize that the pilgrimage to hear co-owner/DJ David Morales' SIX HOUR SET was worth the drive, $25 entry fee and hours queuing in a wicked blizzard. Survival Kit: ear plugs (the system is tight, but deafening) pocket hand warmers (it's freakin' frigid in the winter) sneakers (you came here to dance, people) baby powder (for those sliding moves) waist belt (for cash/ID. you won't want to lug a purse) gum or tea tree oil toothpicks (someone on e will be thankful) an Emergen-C (a little pick-me-up) a hanky (for mopping up buckets of sweat) a thong (hey, you never know if you'll wake up at home) However the main room was torched last month and has yet to reopen. In the meantime the adjacent Stereobar is still pumping out beats. If you left when the bars closed in Boston there's a chance the party would still be going on. It's got a terrace lovely for the summertime, and while it lacks the shock absorbers under the dance floor like its big brother, the vibe is intimate and chill. Go get your groove on. ---------------- Old school homies, a little love to y'all: In the beginning there was Jack and Jack had a groove. And from this groove came the groove of all grooves. And one day while viciously throwing down in his box Jack boldly declared LET THERE BE HOUSE and house music was born. "Can You Feel It" - Mr. Fingers

Great house music palace! Can't fathom some of the negative reviews. True techno/house heads will certainly enjoy!

Black women- I can't make this stuff up. As an ally of the gay community I have fought countless…read morefamily members and exes over gay rights. As an avid drag race watcher, I was so excited to visit a drag bar. I booked a ticket days in advance and planned a trip to Montreal around it. I get there at 11.50 for the lady boom boom haha thing.. go in and am waiting for a bar tender- mind you, I was waiting a while and the White patrons came up.. automatically the bartender, skipped me and went to them.. so, as more people come up, I wave my hands hi- to get attention. I feel this Asian lady Jam into my left side and I'm like wtf.. and she's like we have seats here and I am like okay, I get that but I just wanted a drink.. her white male friend and Asian male friend proceed to start yelling at me telling I am yelling at them on some Karen ish.. they proceed to try to push into me.. Now I am telling back them to back eff up because... I hadn't even seen them and don't know who these demons are. I ask the bartender.. she starts yelling at me.. so now my social anxiety is on level 1000 because i just wanted a drink. I move to the front to get away and then get a tap on my shoulder from this white woman claiming to be the owner of the bar, and says that I am standing where people are walking and I can't.. Mind you I am maybe the only black woman there as I came solo. So I say okay, and she says come with me.. i go to her thinking maybe she saw what happened and will have empathy but I get no apology and she says she will get me a drink.. At this point I want to go home because i don't trust you and what you've done to my drink, so I want my ticket money back and to go home. I attempt to speak to the lady at the front and the owner and get no sympathy no kindness and just feel as if it was my fault for just wanting to patronize this place. This is the most recent racist experience I've had but this one hurt because i truly love the gays and the gworls but realize they along with the whites don't like black women. So never again will stand up for what does concern me. Never again will I patronize a drag bar and honestly anywhere in Montreal. I am sick of being mistreated everywhere. Again, black women I beg you to stay away from this establishment. You will regret pouting your hard earned dollars into racism. And as I was watching the bartender, they don't even put more than a tiny bit of liquor to your drink.. I watched this man pour essentially juice into 27 dollar drinks. Thankfully I got my money back and have drag race at home. The Asian men- hate us- White gay men- truly hate us and as we know white women loathe us.. The black security guy at the front wasn't helpful, we know why.. I just beg you, patronize places that love black women... This place does not. This was not my first time there and honestly I regret the first timet

Even if that weren't the case, all the songs they performed were in English, and even regardless of that, it was ridiculously entertaining! My cousin surprised me by taking us all there and the performance quality was just absolutely top top tier. We ate, we drank, we danced in our seat a little, it was an amazing set! The queens were hilarious, gorgeous, and stellar performers. This is arguably one of the best drag shows I've ever been to to be honest. Tips-- Since this date of posting (Aug 2022), if you are from the US because of conversion rate everything purchased in Canada equates to 31% off in US dollars, so if you pay everything with credit card (such as drinks), you're really in for a great night!

This place owes me nothing!…read more The 2000s throwback party was like a blast from the past. i was coming in from out of town (mini vacation) and the wonderful bartender informed me there would be a party around 10 and it would go until 3am. She suggested 'Bar Pamplemousse' for dinner and a cocktail and i am glad i made the stop. when i get back this place is in full 2000s RAVE decorations. take me back! They were so kind and the drinks were poppin'! i ended up staying out with the locals and having a great night. I ended up in the Village at karaoke! all i can say is the prices were not issue. the staff were lively and fun! this was all out of the blue on a Monday night and i was treated like royalty! **It didn't hurt i was like to the only person there was alive in 2004* lol! thank you for an amazing kick off! pro tips: you have to pay as you go there are no tabs. they take a card and will convert the dollars tips are tips! park across the block it's a short walk take a ride service... the drinks are strong AF! ultra pro tip: bring an umbrella #iykyk
