In the box lot area, there was even an auctioneer--an older man with a cane--who might spend 45 minutes or more on a single box. There was also a small kitchen where you could buy freshly cooked meals, which added to the overall experience. Today, the approach is very different. I see little to no online advertising for their auctions compared to other auction houses, aside from their website and a limited group they notify directly. Auctions now move quickly: items start low and end fast, with minimal effort to increase the final price. While this format can benefit buyers, sellers should be cautious. With the current pace and lack of active bidding, it is unlikely that items will achieve strong selling prices.

Even if you don't buy anything, it's worth the trip. Blaine is full of great stories. There is always at least a few items that surprise. The auctioneers do their best to get the most for their consignors but there are still bargains to be had (if you have knowledge and a little vision!). Definitely part of the week for which I always look forward. The people who work there are all a delight. Usually about 4 auctions going on simultaneously so you have to stay on your toes! J. WCE store front is like a messy garage but the service is world class. While I was there I ended up booking WCE for the cleanout of my mothers home. 1-800-got junk had quoted me $500/truck load, WCE team ended up doing the job and even broom cleaned the home for well under that quote. I have friends that have since used WCE for purchasing wedding bands and engagement rings at 50% off what they would have paid a retail location. Great business to have for the many different services they provide

I don't even care that he gave me such a crazy lowball offer, but the way he was talking to me was so incredibly condescending. I've never been treated so poorly by a customer facing business. I have pretty tough skin being in sales for a decade, but this guy made my stomach turn with how little respect he gave towards his customer. From the moment I walked in the door, I was met with an attitude because I thought I had to wait for an employee to let me in the door after ringing their doorbell. I don't understand how someone like him can still be in business. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else if you want to do business locally, like I tried to do. You'll get a low offer and a huge attitude to go with it.

As musicians, my husband and I had performed 3 times a month at the Columbus Flea Market when they had music. This is how we discovered this store on our way to our many gigs in the area. Also, I consider ourselves flea market junkies & thrift store experts in our off-hours. Forgotten Tresures is not your average thrift store. This place is very clean. Don't expect to walk into this store to find old shoes or clothes, or rusty old pots. Forgotten Treasures is much more than that. This is a high end thrift store, NO broken-down furniture here. They constantly have brand new stuff in boxes that they assemble there, from furniture, exercise equipment, patio furniture, home health supplies, camping items. Also: makeup, kitchen items, toys, and a host of sundries. The furniture items, being already assembled, saves us a lot of hassle and time. This place has so much wonderful bargain new stuff. Through the years we have saved tons of $$$$ here. The staff is very friendly, and helpful, and I always look forward to seeing them and their beautiful gentle parrots Rex & Mushy, when they would display them. This is a must-visit store. Everything from her black coral and gold rings to her gold marquise wedding ring.. as well as this very particular small batch floral braclet that my dad added and deleted details to for my mom's liking. Growing up I was always fascinated with how beautiful and sparkly this braclet was and I knew it was real diamonds, not a ton of diamonds but clusters throughout and to a little girl, that makes you feel like a princess. As I got older and had my first real heartbreak, my mom gave me the braclet and told me I deserve nice things and I'll meet a man one day who will make sure the jewkery he gives me is meant for me. I wore this braclet every day since and would receive compliments on it quite often.. probably not really because of the braclet but because of the confidence it gave me, the sentimental value. On a work trip well over 2 years ago in Texas this braclet was stolen from me. This trip to texas also contracted me to a stage 4 terminal illness that I am currently battling, I am going throw the University of Washington studies to try and beat this disease (I'm only 30 and am on the UNOS list to receive my life saving organ transplant next month). ANYWAYS, I never gave up searching for this braclet. Through Google AI Photo search id plug in screenshots of videos of me wearing the braclet in hopes one day the jerk who stole it from me would pawn it. The cost of Gold is up so that inclined me to run around search and for the first time in over 2 years, my braclet showed up! I contacted the store and explained my story to the owner, sent over all the proof I had and encouraged him to run a search himself to see he is the literal only person in possession of this braclet due to it being truly 1 of a kind. The owner could have said "tough luck, but it at asking price" and he would have had every right to do so considering I don't have a sku number or receipt, just my truth. The owner did what you would not expect someone who runs a Pawn Shop did, he is getting it back to me at break even for him. He could easily get probably 3x the cost of this from a stranger but the owner decided to believe me and do everything he can do to be fair. This owner, Sam is truly an example of a good human being. In a greedy, greedy world he showed me grace and compassion. Thank you Sam and may everything you do in this life treat you the best Makenna L, your friend in Washington.
