Adding to the stress, finding a specialist in northern NJ that participated in my dental plan became another challenge. I was lucky that the dentist I go to for my routine care had Dr. Lubit on the list. All this said, from the moment I made my first phone call, my questions were all handled gently, thoroughly and professionally. And then when I got to the office, I was greeted with a smile, processed quickly and brought in on time and on schedule. The office and rooms are clean, the staff is friendly when I met Dr. Lubit, he took the time to shake my hand, introduce himself, listen and explain everything to me. He anticipated all of my questions and I left my visit feeling confident about my next steps. Thanks to Dr. Lubit, the root canal procedure was performed flawlessly, painlessly and the tooth was successfully saved. Throughout the process, the doctor was extremely thorough--taking two CBCT scans and three X-rays to ensure an accurate diagnosis and the best treatment plan. What stood out just as much as the technical expertise was the doctor's bedside manner. He explained every step of the procedure in detail and patiently answered all of my questions, which made me feel comfortable and confident in the care I was receiving. The office staff was the best --friendly, easy to speak with, and very professional and kind. They consistently followed up and made the entire experience smooth from start to finish. Dr Lubit is meticulous and dexterous. I will never go anyplace else for an endodontic care.

I found him to be very knowledgeable, professional AND honest. He told me that the pocket was not that bad yet and I could wait for up to a year. Most importantly, he uses a laser which so much less invasive than the old way of cutting and stitching the gums. And less painful !!! I felt so much better after the consultation. He also took my insurance for the consultation.

You don't get to choose the amount you charge a patient! Then he went on to tell me how much he charges for a procedure he does. I called my insurance and explained everything and they called him to let him know he cannot charge me for services covered under my insurance. Sounds like he was trying to commit insurance fraud! Needless to say once he was confronted by my my insurance rep he decided not to take me on as a patient. What a fraud he is! Please do your research prior to going to any dentist or doctor. Call your insurance up and confirm exactly what you are getting done and how much it will cost if anything prior to your appointment. I had previously visited another surgeon who was overcharging simply because they knew the pain I was in, but thankfully, I found Riverside. Dr. Richer was hilarious, made me feel completely comfortable, and gave a detailed explanation of my X-rays. The entire staff at Riverside was just as kind and funny, which truly made the whole experience so much better--especially for something as unpleasant as wisdom tooth surgery. When I went in for my procedure, they even gave me a free shirt, which was both hilarious and thoughtful. After surgery, they provided a head wrap and an ice pack, adding to the overall wonderful experience. Small touches like these really matter and show the level of care and thought Riverside puts into their patients. My husband and I paid over $5,000 to have his wisdom teeth removed. We signed a treatment plan for…read moreone thing and were charged for far more. The surgeon did discuss what he planned to do, so it doesn't seem it was a "something came up during surgery" deal, but several things were not listed on the treatment plan we signed with a price. My husband was told to take Tylenol and Ibuprofen after having impacted wisdom teeth removed which was the anestheisologist's decision to be fair. When I called the office because he was considering the ER due to the pain, a nurse, over the phone, insisted it could not be dry socket. She did not see my husband, is not the physician, and felt it was appropriate to give medical advice over the phone. I requested he see another surgeon in a different location (same practice). It was dry socket. The surgeon in West Orange was fantastic. The communication in West Caldwell left a lot to be desired. After the correct antibiotic was given and he was treated for the complication, we thought we were all clear. We went on with our lives and then received a bill the other day for just under $1200. I spoke with billing, I spoke with the office, and honestly, legal fees would be more expensive. I understand "things happen in surgery" and if our insurance covered this we might not have to pay it, but we couldn't ask insurance if it was covered because it was not what we signed up for. I honestly do not feel it was a change, because he mentioned a bone graft being part of the plan all along. I do not recommend the West Caldwell office. This was such a disaster and we finally could breathe and now we can't again. I would recommend the West Orange office. Dr. Brown in West Orange was excellent, and the surgeon our dentist requested him to see in the paperwork he sent over. I only wrote down the name of the office, not the surgeon he recommended so that was ignored on the paperwork when Riverside received it. The surgeons are fine, the West Caldwell office doesn't have it together so be prepared to do their job while you pay them far more than you agreed to.
