My dentist referred me to WE to get a 3D x-ray to determine if root canal was feasible (visible…read morecracks above gum; through-the-cheek x-ray looked OK, but 3D shows more). WE refused to do the 3D x-ray. When pressed, she said she could do the 3D x-ray after doing a root canal - if I wanted it. [Why do the test to see if root canal is feasible AFTER the root canal?] Instead, she duplicated the through-the-cheek x-ray that the dentist had done a few days earlier. [Supposedly, ADA recommendations on lead shielding have been relaxed because, among other things, with digital x-rays, there's no need for duplicates. WE doesn't use lead shields AND does unnecessary x-rays.] Then, WE did the same exam that the dentist had done - though following an inflexible procedure: Positioned my arm on my leg and said to raise it if I felt pain. Tapped on a different tooth. I looked at her and said, "Of course it doesn't hurt; you're tapping on the wrong tooth." She started over again, placing my arm on my leg... I glared at her as she tapped on the wrong tooth again. Eventually, she tapped on the tooth that I had gone to her for, and I raised my hand. Sprayed something like liquid nitrogen on the tooth to determine temperature sensitivity. Then declared "The roots are dead; I'll do a root canal.". [Never checked the roots themselves.] Charged $355 to do what the dentist had already done (for less money).... I found another endodondist who did the 3D x-ray. I suspect my dentist referred me because WE is owned by the same chain that bought my dentist's practice. I'll start looking for another dentist, now. The stupidity continues. I got a phone call from them about the above review. They claimed that they were trying to save me money by not doing the 3D x-ray. Then, why did she offer to do it AFTER the root canal? Then, the 3D x-ray would have been a complete waste. She also said that the through-the-cheek x-ray wasn't good enough. [Why not mention that?] I brought up the fact that, in the waiting area, I was notified that they were running late 35 minutes after my appointment time. I tried to explain that the time to tell a patient that you're running late is at or before the time at which they are late. She tried to justify giving notification after it's become obvious. They just don't get it. I just hung up.

My appointment with the oral surgeon is next week and I called Dr. Stern to please prescribe me an antibiotic because my tooth is infected. I am running a low grade fever. Guess what she called me and I I advised her what was going on. All I need is an antibiotic to relief the pain. Dr Stern stated she would have to call me back which she did NOT. Because she stands to not make anymore money on my visit Dr Stern choses to leave me in severe pain. All I asked for was an antibiotic.

I must preface the following by saying that I do not take relaying this type of info lightly. & it is not based on assumptions or rumors, interpretations or misunderstandings. The following is based on indisputable FACTS. Great Expressions Dental in Auburn. They've blatantly LIED on numerous occasions on various things. Claims. Billing. Procedures. I had been going to them since Sept. as a result of an emergency dental situation, & had gone to them several times thereafter. I never had an issue prior to this. I need(ed) extensive dental surgery. In January I had a consult with the oral surgeon, who stated I needed 2 bone grafts before other procedures could be done. My jawbone was "in good shape, just too narrow for implants." On that day (& on prior visits) I had been reassured by several people (dentist, billing clerks) that mostly everything would be covered. Remember that. Then on that same visit I was given an itemized printout of what I would owe, (out of pocket) - IF for some unforeseen reason my insurance denied my claim(s) for my pending surgery etc. Over 10 grand. I booked the appointment & checked with them periodically to see if they had heard from my insurance agency. "No, not yet." Then the DAY BEFORE MY SURGERY they called to tell me it was denied - & that I would need to pay the FULL AMOUNT the day of my surgery, regardless of the fact that I would only have a portion of the work needed to be done on that day - in order to proceed. THE DAY BEFORE. (Totally premeditated.) Shocked & in disbelief, I still kept the appt. I called my insurance agency right after that to let them know that I would file an appeal - & was told G.E. NEVER FILED A CLAIM FOR MY SURGERY or for other pending procedures. I immediately called my dentist's office - & literally had so much smoke blown up my ass - that I bet my lungs had actually turned black. The manager I had spoken with immediately took a defensive stance - & said my insurance carrier "recently changed their guidelines" & they knew that what needed to be done wouldn't be covered. So they never filed. Then a minute later she said "& when we submitted it, & it was denied..." I said hold up! You JUST SAID that you did not even file a claim, so how could it have been denied...if you never filed it????? SILENCE. I followed that up with - & when I've called to check if you've heard from my insurance, I was repeatedly told "not yet." I caught her in several more lies, which rendered her speechless again. THEN she said how they treat 50-60 patients a day, & that they just "don't have time" to file claims for everyone. I investigated further & called my insurance agent - & was told that they did not change anything to my policy, no guidelines were updated & if anything had in fact changed - I would've received a letter in the mail. Manager at G.E. tried to smooth things over with me by saying she would file the claims for me immediately. Too little too late. Cancelled surgery & let them know I'd be taking my business elsewhere. Totally disgusted. Thee most deceitful & unethical people I've ever dealt with in my entire life.

LOVE Innovate Dental…read more I recently left a review on Google, however I have to put it on here! Innovate Dental changed my opinions on dentists! I never truly had a good experience at the dentists office. When I recently moved to the area, I decided it was time to find a new dentist. From the moment I called to schedule the appointment, all the way to meeting Dr. Platt, everyone was beyond kind and caring! They were so helpful! The dental assistant Lori & my dentist Dr. Platt truly changed my mind about going to the dentist! They made me feel extremely comfortable AND they are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to knowing what is really going on. I cannot say how happy I am to be a patient of Dr. Platt, 500 star rating for me!

I made the appointment at the recommendation of my niece who had been seeing Dr. Millett for years and loves him. I learned while making the appointment that Dr. Millett does the Business portion of the practice and no longer practices dentistry. I had an appointment today at 11:40 AM and arrived at 11:20 in order to fill out the paperwork. I was seen at 12 PM and had x-rays but a very professional dental hygienist by the name of Frankie and then I met Dr. Fiect Who examined me, stated that I needed all types of dental work and then said he had no time today to fix my Loose bridge. I insisted that the reason I attended today was because I was medically concerned about it. Because I pressed, he attempted to remove my bridge and then informed me that he would not be able to do so without damaging all the teeth around it. He then asked me if it made me feel any better he could give me antibiotics between now and my next visit if I was concerned about infection. Then I was told that they did not have time to clean my teeth today. I've never had this experience in my entire life. I quickly called my former dentist and made an appointment for Monday morning at 8 AM in order to address my medical concern, and then I filed a formal complaint. Something is seriously wrong there and I informed, my niece that Dr. Millett is no longer the acting dentist.
