They "fixed it" in about twenty minutes. I was too stunned by it to ask them to take it back again. I had to show my mechanic to hear why/how badly they messed up. The gaps in panels, and looks like they caused some damage putting a panel in, left out a part that connects in front so there is a large gap now.. hard to imagine thinking this is acceptable work. I took a new car (less than six months old) to CarStar after a minor accident. When their…read moretechnician was installing a new grille he or she broke the clips that hold it in place. CarStar tried to solve this by drilling a hole into an adjacent piece and then tying the broken grille in place with zip ties. All of this was clearly visible. For this they charged my insurance company over $7,000, a suspiciously high amount considering the damage (they even charged for the zip ties!) In addition to this, sensors in the vehicle's front end were unhooked and not hooked up again. Very, very disappointed with the shoddy workmanship and CarStar Amherst's response.

The doctor proceeds to schedule you for a surgery based on your word. They open you up, see there is nothing wrong, and sew you back up. After the surgery you then advise the doctor that actually it may just be a muscle pull. The doctor schedules you for a scan and a chiropractor and this time you're right! Funds lost: yes. Time lost: 4 round trips. Trust loss: 100%. Were you an idiot to assume and not question the doctor's lack of diligence? Yes. But the experts are just that: they are supposed to help and guide you, not assume you are right. This was our recent experience, in a matter of speaking. This Ford dealership had awesome front end staff and that tended to take the edge off the usual bleeding of money that results from owning a vehicle. But something has changed and that is too bad. We need a new car and they helped us reduce the short list. Customer service is everything folks.
