Throughout the year, there were rodents that lived in the walls. I could see where they came in from and would try to cover it to no luck. When brought to the attention of those in charge, all I got was an apology and that "something" would be done. Nothing was done for the entire year. I would hear scratches and scurrying through the night and it was unsettling. Moving out of this location was an issue of itself too. The list for cleaning is overly extensive when compared to other locations. When my roommates and I completed the list and tried to get a final check, the person in charge was "busy" and was going to check it herself. We finally get the security deposit back to see that she had made charges for things not even on the list she told us to complete and clean, half of the things we cleaned were charged anyways, and just charges that were blatantly ridiculous. It may sound like I just don't know how to clean, but trust me. As someone who's spent a year before in the cleaning service, I know how to clean to a "T". The place would have been a better experience if not for better service.

We were lucky to have wonderful neighbors. The staff is incredibly responsive. Anything that needs to get fixed gets fixed in a timely manner. The price is a little steep for Ohio, but overall I believe it is a good value. The only thing that happened was that one of our neighbors' pipes burst and part of our room was partially flooded on the ground floor. I think it was handled as well as it could've been -- when we got home they already had fans blowing, moved everything upstairs they could and had cleaned everything up pretty well. We also got a small gift certificate for a nearby nice restaurant for our trouble. I don't remember much being damaged if anything. Our move-out was a dream. No hidden or surprise charges. The staff are very kind and very professional. Would highly recommend. I hope this place stays as classy as it was when we lived there! :)

I've been a resident of Cross Creek for about four months. Two months ago I was injured at work and…read moreput off on disability. I have a Worker's Compensation claim pending. I advise the staff that I'd be a little late in making payments until this compensation claim is heard. in spite of that I was served an eviction notice because my payment was 15 days late this month. I was told that in addition to my normal rent, I would have to pay about $700 in late fees and court costs because they already filed the eviction. I think the manager is on some kind of power trip and gets some kind of gratification out of forcing people out of their homes, in spite of the circumstances . Fortunately, my brother is an attorney and someone is in his firm is going to represent me at the eviction hearing, and they feel a story like this likely to make local news .
