The cleaning seemed okay, the x-rays did not show anything bad, and the dentist examined the teeth without finding anything bad. The unpleasant surprise was the bill for $313, even though I am on the Humana Dental Access discount plan. I asked if the amount was a mistake, and was told that the full retail price would have been over four hundred dollars.

Dentist like this should come with warning labels and warning signs posted at their offices. If I knew ahead of time that he wouldn't prescribe pain medicine when you needed it, I would have went somewhere else. 30 years ago a dentist left me in pain for several days before doing anything about it. Botched root canal from a Navy dentist. The result was I didn't go back to the dentist for 30 years. Fortunately this time, I saw my doctor the day before and she gave me antibiotics when she saw all the swelling from my tooth infection. I was swollen from my left temple down to the bottom of my neck I don't think the dentist even noticed. He didn't mention antibiotics at all. Can anyone local recommend a better dentist?
