Only 1/2 mile from the beach a really nice restaurant called the Seahorse Grill and Bar fantastic food and reasonably priced in today's economy . However we did a couple issues with the Ice/water dispenser on the refrigerator not working and the drain in the upstairs guest bathroom sin draining to slow and the drain stopper in the bathtub not working so as to take a bath I ema and texted a few times but nobody came out and I also requested an extra set of queen size sheets and they were never brought to us. Overall the place was well worth the price especially if you book directly th them so I'm giving them a 4 out of 5 stars and I will definitely be coming back in the future.

Bryan Beach is a long stretch of sand in Brazoria County along the coast starting southwest of the…read moreQuintana pier and ending at the Brazos river mouth. For decades, it was an unincorporated part of the county with no local government or emergency services. It was a free, barren, no-man's land. It was a semblance of the Wild West and, we liked it that way! Nowadays, I believed it's been annexed by the Port of Freeport. Bryan Beach is a lot of different things. It's possibly the ugliest beach in the world. Definitely, the ugliest in Texas. At the same time, it can reveal great beauty (mostly when the lights are off). It's a quickly eroding coastline, barely able to drive on or pitch a tent on. Fishing is great. Of course, you might want to catch and release as the river mouth passes a terrifying amount of pesticides, fertilizers, and God knows what else. Rip currents and an abundance of sharks make swimming dangerous. There's also sometimes dangerous people there. It's really a blank canvas. You can make it whatever you want. I've had incredible beach parties there in the past. Huge bonfires, cooking up dinner, camping out, insane amounts of alcohol.... With the right group, you can have the time of your life there. Maybe it's a weird portal to another dimension. Who knows? Bryan Beach is what you make it.

Then there was today nothing wrong with the park or anyone at the park BUT there's a house off of E Murray St and they were shooting pelt guns towards the dog park. I have the full address if y'all want it. I yelled out to them to not shoot this was but they just showed me that I was #1 and kept on . I'm very grateful that my dog wasn't hit by a pellet and they're very blessed they didn't hit her with a pellet. As much as I love going to this dog park we won't be going anymore. There's no reason to shoot pellet guns into a dog park that takes a certain kind of Stupid to do such a thing. You can tell they truly don't care about any type of pet . So if anyone has a good dog park suggestion I'll be glad to hear it. Nothing against Officer Cash dog park but for the safety of my dog we won't be going there anymore.

See below: Neat dog park dedicated to K9 Cash, the first K9 officer of the Angleton Police Department. I like the tribute! The entrance is to the right of the Angleton Animal Control building, with plenty of parking. Make sure your pooch has it's shots prior to going and gets along well with others! They have an obstacle ourse for dogs made from recycled playground parts which is neat. There's a seesaw, a "jump through", weave pol, a tunnel, a slide, and a couple other things. There are picnic tables for the humans to sit on- be sure to bring your own water for yourself. There is a water fountain for the dogs (and one higher up for humans), but I'd still bring a bottle with me. There's also a small fenced off area where you can take smaller dogs, if the big ones are too rowdy. There's doggy waste bags at the entrance of the bigger part for the dog park. Sometimes it's empty, I'd let animal control next door know this because they usually have extras. It does get hot in the summer, but there's a small covered area. Bring bug spray if it's mosquito season and it's later in the evening. There's a dog park group for this particular park on Facebook, so you can set up play dates with other pooches. Works well if you have a bigger dog and want equal sized playmates, lol!

I was on a 3 day, 2-night live-aboard dive trip to the Flower Gardens, and the boat had essentially a full regimen with ~31 divers. The landscapes (West bank, a rig, and over at Stetson), the weather, and the wildlife (a few sharks, some really friendly sea turtles, eels and stingrays, oh my!) were all really neat, but it was the crew that really makes this organization worth visiting. The tank filler (Gary, I think) had his hands full with keeping all our tanks full, helping us adjust our rigs, and just giving us some good background on the dive sites. The dive masters (Brandon and JT) were helpful, well-informed, and super cheerful. The captain kept us in stitches with some good humor as we trudged through the necessary drills and information sessions, and the galley crew was phenomenal. I don't imagine it was easy feeding the 35+ people on board, but they prepared delicious, copious food-- if you went hungry, it was on you. Sleeping quarters were a mite tight, but that's to be expected. With 31 divers, the dive prep area was a little tight, but everyone was really great. Overall, the crew makes you feel welcome and does everything they can, the facilities are comfortable, and the experience is great.
