This last experience under the second practice to take over this location in 2 years, was absolutely the worst! From start to finish. My appointment was at 9:00am, I was not called back until 9:45. Prior to being called back I had overheard an exiting patient, advising how surprised that the Dentistry had changed hands again, but this time there was no sign to Identify the new Practice. I had not notice there was no sign, but I sure notice the change in Staff. You see the first two change in Dentistry was mostly the name because the staff remained the same. This new staff certainly was not impressive and showed uncertainty which did not make me feel good at all. I was taken to a completely different room for my X-ray, when I had not ever in the past. They had one person start with polishing my teeth, then another come in for descaling teeth, and this person actually dropped the tool on the floor (another first) and I was so nervous she would just pick it up and keep going. She did not, but she also did not floss my teeth. This practice seemed dysfunctional. Not a good first impression but a very lasting one!! Finally at 11:20am I meet the Dentist. We he advised me he would like to drill in all my stained teeth, just because there are stains present, I decided, I would no longer be coming to this location. Dr. Lutkus was the only practitioner decent enough to advise his patients of his retirement and the practice being sold. No heads up from neither of successors.

I originally went to another place in Jacksonville and left on the day of my surgery because of how rude and impatient they were while preparing me. I must disclose that I have a needle phobia so I was pretty nervous. So after my terrible experience at the other place I made my appointment with Dr.Meadows. During the consultation I told him about my bad previous experience and made it clear that I would be a nervous wreck because of my needle phobia but he was very genuine and explained that him and his staff would be as patient as I needed them to be. And true to his word, they were. On the day of surgery they explained every step all the way up until they put the iv in and I was fast asleep. During my follow up I had my stitches removed and I was in and out within 15 minutes. My experience here from beginning to end was amazing and I would def. recommend Dr.Meadows to anyone who is nervous about getting their wisdom teeth removed.

There was no judgement on my overdue need for a cleaning and the ladies were so helpful with giving me info and recommendations for addressing some things I wanted to improve with my oral care (like hot and cold sensitivity or remineralization after pregnancy)! The office was clean, cute, and the staff were kind and professional. I was also able to get an eligibility screening complete for overseas living (hello military) and overall I had a great experience! They also take my insurance, for anyone who's unsure (Concordia, TDP)! Highly recommend and will be back in 6 months!
