Excellent Physical Therapist!
Over the years, I've worked with various PTs to treat different physical injuries, I'm an active athletic female in my late-50's. Most recently, I went to physical therapist Stephanie Teran who came on high recommendation from several people. She was warm and professional and demonstrated genuine empathy for my physical discomfort. Her physical evaluation was thorough, and she was excellent at identifying the origin of my pain (I had suspected it was from a meniscal tear). Upon evaluation, however, Stephanie determined the pain likely was caused by a sciatic nerve impingement. She was correct! What I appreciated most was that Stephanie began treatment that same session. She has advanced training in trigger point therapy (dry needling) which provided me with immediate relief. After several physical therapy sessions and a new stretching program, I am now PAIN-FREE and back to being PHYSICALLY ACTIVE (i.e., running, weight-training, hiking, etc.). Thanks so much, Stephanie!
Two other pluses: 1). Stephanie works directly with you during the entire session; you are NOT passed along to a therapy assistant to carry out the therapy session. 2). At least in my case, I had an appointment 1x/weekly instead of the 3x/weekly scheduling that often is the drill with the larger PT groups. FIVE-OUT-OF-FIVE Stars! read more
