She did mention that it had been very busy earlier so I lucked out with my timing. She dealt with my paperwork efficiently & the whole thing was a positive experience. Got home to find a message on my phone, something had happened to contaminate a bunch of lab tests in their van & would need to return to get it re-done. Wasn't too thrilled although I definitely felt for the tech who had to make a whole bunch of calls to let people know they'd have to return to get their lab tests done again. I was annoyed of course but it certainly wan't her fault. Returned early the following morning without an appointment, waited about 15 minutes, then someone else did my repeat draw & he was also nice & efficient. Afterwards Crystal popped out to apologize again about the previous issue requiring the return visit. She also did something amazing to help me deal with a transportation problem, which I'll never forget. Thank you so much! The only issue I have is with trying to contact Quest on the phone. They don't have anyone there to answer their phone. I finally found a national number on the website, called & was informed it was out of service & to call yet another number. After the normal runaround to reach an actual person they were able to somehow connect me directly with the local Quest & I was able to speak with a person. The 5 stars are for my experience with the employees there. Absolutely amazing.

We set up our appointment for walk in said 940am. it was 9 when we set the appointment. Said we would wait in car. waiting till 945 then went into the lobby, never was notified, talked to a person when they picked up someone who we watched walk in sign up and get served before us. they said to re sign up, WTF! we did new time 1030am. we waited and did get served but this process sucks. Staff was nice the only reason we gave 2 stars. We brought a box to get completed but they can't do this. Frustrating. We continued to go thru with the other items needed but probably didn't need to get done here. We paid $148 for the bloodwork but this would have been free or less at the second location we went to. I am frustrated because they should have told us to just check there before we went thru the bloodwork here. I feel for the staff because it seems like this place is just struggling with staffing and everything but there has to be a better way. This is not quality of care. I'm looking for when getting blood work done. Unfortunately this is one of the only options in town and the other options that we have are just as bad as this one.

There were a couple of schedule snags so that's why it's 4 instead of 5 stars. The first time we were waiting over a half hour and finally asked and receptionists checked. Apparently it was a nurse meeting that ran over. They gave a chit to Subway in the cafeteria while the meeting finished. The last couple of visits had to be rescheduled so the nurses could have another meeting, but at least this time we got notice. So, the waiting area is nice and comfortable, with a snack area with drinks and small treats. There are a bunch of puzzles, books, magazines, fish tank, and TV. There is an onsite masseuse for everyone on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and every Friday they bring out the big guns with chocolate candies (instead of starburst variety) and fresh baked cookies. I liked the doctor, who was very patient and answered all our questions, and although the nurse was a bit of a ding bat she was really sweet. Last but not least there is a graduation ceremony where the patient walks down the hallway to the music of Pomp and Circumstance Walking March, through sprouting bubbles, rings a bell 3 times, and gets a bouquet and gift bag. It was all a little cheesy, but I got teary eyed. I hope I never have to go here, but if I do I feel I would be in good hands and well taken care of.

The check-in process is smooth, mostly electronic. The setting of the office is calm and tranquil, which enhances the overall experience. As a former MRI tech, I appreciate the care these techs take in helping you through the exam process. I've read a few reviews about financial issues. As a current director of accounts receivable at a large medical organization--it's critical that the client also be hyper-vigilant about reading their EOBs and following up with questions about potential discounts, overpayments, or denials. We do our level best to stay on top of accounts, but if billing is done by a third party and you have thousands of accounts it can be difficult. If you aren't getting the answers you want, and escalating to a supervisor doesn't help, I recommend a three way call to your provider with your insurance provider on the line. Especially if your provider is an in-network provider! That usually results in more clarity all around.

They have predatory billing practices that aim to…read moremaximize their profit at all cost and leave you, as the patient, feeling 100% fleeced, even WITH insurance (and 'good' insurance, to boot!!). They charged me over $7k for a preventative bilateral breast MRI. After insurance, my out-of-pocket was $700. They are not willing to set-up a payment plan. Fortunately, I have the money, but the whole process has made me feel like the victim of medical up-charging and corporate greed. The average MRI cost in Alaska is about $2k. These greedy folks are WAY over market. STEAR CLEAR!!!
