Since we are DEFINITELY from out of town we didn't know what we were getting ourselves into and this place exceeded our expectations!!!! From the time we walked into the lobby area we were greeted by a lovely gentleman that helped us understand where the terrace bar was and how to get there. Upon arrival we were seated and given options on where to sit and of course we asked for the best view and it didn't disappoint. The winds were high but that didn't stop us from having a good time with a drink and food. My husband and I shared the Tempura Chicken and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! Sad today is our last day in this beautiful city, but we for sure will return to this amazing place. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and thank you Patrick!!!

    Beautiful outside dining!!

Beautiful rooftop dining looking over the River and bustling Old Town. Make sure to make a reservation because it is a very popular spot. We decided to come for brunch on a Saturday morning and it was wonderful. Very quiet and peaceful. We had a glass of Prosecco, coffee and waffles with fresh fruit. Everything was delicious. Portions are small compared to what you would get in America. So if you go a la carte, and you are hungry, get more than just one.

Lovely restaurant on rooftop, perfect for brunch and a view of Salzburg. Delicious food! Popular spot, make a reservation in advance :)

I'm willing to give SEVEN SENSES/Steinterrasse four stars based mostly on its breathtaking views and asian-inspired cuisine. Cocktails are adequate to surprisingly good, though overpriced (generally not worth 16€). Appetizers (pho and salmon tartare) and entrees (beefsteak and black miso cod) were well prepared and presented. Dessert portion (especially for the chocolate "pot stickers") seemed inadequate. The biggest area for improvement must come in the service. Even by European/Austrian standards, staff moved with little to no sense of urgency. If you don't mind being assertive and flagging them down, it shouldn't present a problem, but really, a three-course meal shouldn't take 2.5 hours, especially on a Wednesday evening when it's hardly busy. I would go again, but would be afraid to see how they perform on a busy night. Perhaps best to come at off-peak days/hours, or sit at the bar where they can't escape your notice.

There's actually more seating behind the bar if you go around. The menu is extensive from breakfast foods to decadent desserts! I came here mainly for the nockerl and it takes 30 minutes to prepare. I also ordered an americano and apple strudel. Our waitress, Alexandra, was very nice and attentive. She had to bring another table for the presentation! She also made sure I had time to photography the nockerl. It did not disappoint! It was fluffy and I love the berry cream and the ice cream that came with! It was just the perfect amount of sweetness and definitely worth a try! The apple strudel was bathed in vanilla cream (you can also get it with ice cream). It was flaky and warm. I love the cream it came in! Everything was fabulous! Many people came in to order desserts from the display! Thank you for a lovely breakfast. I enjoyed sitting there relaxing while enjoying the delicious foods!

Looks like most of the locals get cappuccinos, hard boiled eggs & some kind of bread with cold cuts & some veggies. I got the semilina porridge (Grieß-Porridge) which is equivalent to what Americans might call 'Cream of Wheat'. It came with fresh jam & was very tasty. I also ordered the Ham, cheese and salami with bread side (Schinken, Käse, Salami) and an iced latte. All were yummy. I wish I had more time to go back there to try some of their desserts.. they looked yummy!

First morning in Salzburg and we were looking for our first breakfast kind of like home. We walked…read morepast Habakuk and caught a glimpse of the Strudel in the window, and all thoughts of bacon and eggs were out the window! We walked in and were very warmly greeted, and sat right across from the glass cases that showcased their wares. Given two menus in German, we figured it out pretty quick. They had a NY breakfast and one below that outlined eggs, ham, cheese and bread, bingo, two orders of those please and water. Our utensils and napkins were brought on a white plate along with salt and pepper, as well as a silver plate holding our waters, which was a great touch. The interior is very classy, old school elegance, and the servers were the same, nicely dressed very polite and helpful. Our food arrived quickly, hot and abundant, not exactly bacon and eggs, but very good. We were not asked how we wanted our eggs cooked,, so what you see is what you get. My eggs were a little overcooked for my taste, but the lovely K got some yolk run. There was a very good amount of food for the price and it all worked well together. We had the chance to chat with our server who spoke very good English, as it seems most of the people we have come across in our two weeks on the Continent do. We had to go back the next afternoon to try the Strudel of course. We were recognized right away, and the place was quite a bit busier so we walked up the stairs and were sat in the main dining area. The Strudel was quite delicious, and once again abundant and swimming in warm custard, which I wasn't sure of, but man it was good. Also added a Stiegel beer which is brewed right here in Salzburg for over 500 years. Cafe Habakuk is a bit of a throwback to simpler times when good service and great food, at fair prices was the norm rather than the exception and we couldn't be happier. Our next trip back to Salzburg we will most certainly be back!

We decided to walk inside on a mission to try said apple strudel and were greeted by kind staff. We took a seat and had THE loveliest waiter. I got the apple strudel with custard, but you get the option of either whipped cream, custard, or icecream I believe. My friend got the ham & cheese sandwich with a side salad. Long story short, the apple strudel was DIVINE. The entire dessert just feels homey and hits all the right spots. The sandwich was really good too. The bread was quite buttery and crispy. The salad had thousand island dressing. So so good!
