I followed every piece of advice, completed all the assigned work, and put in the extra effort outside of sessions. I'm a hard worker--I don't expect results without putting in the work. But after all that time and money, my score did not improve at all. The tutors were friendly, but the strategies they taught me were no different from what I had already learned on my own. There was no personalized approach, no real effort to target my weaknesses, and honestly, it felt like I was just going through the motions in every session. For a program that promises score improvements, this was a complete waste of time and money. If you're looking for real results, I strongly suggest finding another program. Elite Tutoring Place did nothing for me except drain my wallet and leave me frustrated. The owner will respond to this message claiming I never attended Elite Tutoring Place in Wheaton as he did in my google review. Regardless, I did attend Elite Tutoring Place in Wheaton, and I find it concerning that he claims not to have any record of me. I showed up, did the work, and stuck to the program as instructed, yet my score did not improve at all. Nick- Instead of dismissing my experience, maybe take accountability and consider how blaming the student for not following the program correctly when I did everything asked of me is not a great look. Instead of denying my attendance, maybe focus on improving your program so future students actually see results.

At least I had a week off to practice Foosball at "the Barn" and Saturday school locker cleaning duty resulted in me getting my first "Schaumburg Saxon Pride Award..." the one I stole from some award-winning kid's locker who didn't turn the dial to lock it! Mr. Whitman was my 1st grade teacher- he took the time to teach us all how to play chess! He was totally "searching for Bobby Fischer!" We had great big vinyl chess boards, big pieces, and he'd get on the overhead projector and have this little chess board transparency, and he'd show us the moves. At the end of 1st grade we were playing legitimate chess games, even if we were too young to understand any real chess strategy. Mr. Clair used to tell us great stories in 2nd grade- everybody loved that guy! Too bad the school was so stuffed we got stuck taking classes in "the mobiles." Mobile homes- haha. Mr. Lucier was a nice principal- he played ukulele at school events all the time! I was sent to his office lots of times for getting in trouble, and he always pointed out the nice picture he had on his wall that my well behaved older sister had painted when she went to Dirksen. Miss Schumacher was HOT! They had a "gifted" program where some of us selected few would be picked up by the 'tard cart and taken to a separate school- all the dist. 54 grade schools fed the program. I hated getting teased for being picked up by the stubby bus for that, and the actual gifted program was no fun. The teachers there tried so hard to engage us it felt demeaning somehow... I knock one star off for Mrs. Nank. That fat old battle-ax would beg cookies out of the lunches of her 4th graders! Worse- she's beg back and shoulder massages from us! I was so completely disgusted by her behavior... Words can't describe.

My sons attended and currently attend this high school. It is HUGE and provides many, many options…read morefor different people and activities. If you attend this school, you will be ready for college and managing the issues involved with larger schools. It is imperative that students look for ways to self-advocate and imperative to get involved in clubs or other activities. Parents will need to be more involved to help with a 4-year plan to use the many options available at the school. The music program is excellent in all areas, choir, orchestra and band... the athletic opportunities are strong (although if you are a casual player, you may not make Varsity or JV)... the clubs can sometimes fill up too much and they have to have try-outs. It can be frustrating to be 'locked out' of an opportunity, but it is good learning for life in general. Best wishes as you choose high schools!

Have 3 kids here. Amazing school with 2 track religion curriculum. Catholic and world religion…read more Rigorous academic curriculum with emphasis on social emotional learning/development. Quite a bit of volunteering as well to help keep the kids grounded and caring about the world around them. A rare combination of an independent school with a catholic underpinning where other religions are not just welcomed but celebrated. I didn't have that exposure until I was in college. Glad I can expose my kids to this diversity early on. And did I mention they are crushing all their academic/standardised tests!!!

Just picked up my son from camp, and he loved it!!…read more the staff is super friendly and helpful, we needed to try something different and little more challenging of a pre school. He really loved it and wants to go back we are pretty happy! I met Amy who showed me around and explained everything, met some sweet girls who are in charge of the camp groups, they're so friendly and text me back and forth with any questions while my son was in camp today, Also met Mrs. Breuer and just wanted to say thanks to all of them for helping with our decision today.
