While Michelle Merson is personable at first during the consultation, after the initial consult and hiring, she is near impossible to get a hold of or to even get her to respond back to calls, emails and text messages, even when marked "Urgent" or "Extremely Urgent." Furthermore, I found it odd that Attorney, Michelle Merson could not work any case without the supervision of a partner attorney, who is equally as hard to get a hold of. This made her seem highly incompetent in taking any cases on her own. She is also certainly NOT for women's rights. My case was an assault case in which I was the victim, and Merson's unprofessionalism, insensitivity, and lack of due diligence was beyond disappointment. Michelle Merson even had the audacity to show up at a separate hearing that I had going on with a different attorney on a completely separate case and sit in on the hearing without my consent, only for me to later find out that the opposing counsel (from me) was not just her very close friend but lives in her same building- this seems an invasion of privacy and highly unethical to not disclose! Especially beforehand! My biggest issue with Michelle Merson was that it would take weeks (oftentimes 2-4 weeks) to get any response from her, even at urgent times, like being at the local Police Department to identify my assaulter in a lineup. As said, she is not for women's rights, nor an advocate for civil rights. She is not adequate as an attorney, always needing to consult and get permission from partner attorneys to take a case, which is something to be weary of. She lacks the experience to take any case on her own. I want to warn everyone not just in Boca Raton, but in Fort Lauderdale/Miami, covering Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties! Don't let the consultation fool you. She is a whole other person once hired and working with her and when she is uncomfortable discussing a subject, she can't even handle responding to the client (me) herself, but instead leaves it to her assistant. This is not the kind of experience you expect when you are going through an important case and need a strong and confident attorney- Michelle Merson is not it. Her lack of response violates the Florida Bar's requirement that an active attorney contact their client within 48 hours or notify them within a week as to why they were unable to be reached. Now her business partner, Attorney, Guy Fronstin, bombards me with messages to remove my review, which is against terms of service. She blames her family circumstances on the lack of communication when they didn't occur until after we stopped working together and she and her office have STILL yet to provide all of my files after several requests over months, which is my right to get a copy of under the Florida Bar! Perhaps the worst attorney- highly suggest avoiding her at all costs. Do not waste your time!
