All of the problems began when we initially filed the 2025 taxes and were waiting on the returns from those filings. I have been asking Tony for the past few months where the 2025 Nebraska State return is (over $2800!!!)...according to him, he would give them a call and find out. Well I was tired of waiting and gave them a call myself. It took me exactly 60 seconds to get a live representative on the phone but Tony will give you a whole story about the Nebraska Department of Revenue office being short staffed and it's SO hard to get ahold of them. I gave the nice lady on the phone all of my information and she kindly informed me that they did not have a 2025 return on file. This is now the second year that Tony NEVER FILED THE RETURN!!!!! Run as fast and as far as you can. Unless you want to be paying for late fees and penalties due to Tony's negligence! And he will not take responsibilities for those fees and compensate you. He will just claim that he'll file an abatement and "it will all work itself out". The last abatement that he filed for the 2023 federal tax return somehow never went through so I, once again, had to call the IRS myself and they were able to handle the whole thing over the phone in less than 30 minutes. They informed me that only so much could be forgiven in that process. The total ended up being $1088.92 taken from my 2025 federal return to pay off the late fees/penalties in 2023, they forgave $790.57...which means the final $298.35 should be covered by Tony due to failure to file. Nope! Anytime I even bring up that he needs to let us know how we will be compensated, he acts like there's some additional steps that can be taken to get that money back because he sure as heck isn't going to pay it! Who knows what is going to happen now with the 2025 state return but I guess we shall wait and see. What makes all of this even better is knowing how much more this is going to cost me to have a REAL professional review the shoddy workmanship being done by this firm over the past few years.

Unbeknownst to me, this agency somehow obtained my policy from Baehler Insurance without my knowledge or approval. I tried to call on multiple occasions to speak to my new broker after finding out that my premiums had doubled, but he/she never returned my calls. I called over 10 times and left messages with no return calls. I called the Underwriter (ASI/Progressive), who informed me that only the agent who wrote the policy could cancel. I switched agents and continued to call to get my pro-rated premiums returned. Guess what? No calls back. No refund. I understand one call slipping through the cracks, but ten? That was intentional. To say this agency is bad is an understatement, god forbid something actually happen and I needed their assistance. I wouldn't walk away from this agency, I would run. As fast as you possibly can.

I hire a PROFESSIONAL tax preparer so I don't have mistakes on my taxes. I received a letter from Nebraska about my taxes being incorrect. That snowballed into I owed Uncle Sam almost another $1000. My Iowa income tax return was wrong as well. That's 0 tax returns correct of 3. Also my PROFESSIONAL tax preparer said I brought the wrong information. I checked, everything was 2021. The paperwork needed to correct the mistake, was a copy of my wife's 2021 W2, my PROFESSIONAL tax preparer made that copy the day we had our income taxes done. Question: do you hire a professional to have to double check their work? I wasn't offered a refund, or even an apology, so it must have been my fault, I was the person inputting the numbers on the computer. If you work with these people check every number, I wish I would have, except I'm not a PROFESSIONAL tax preparer. That's why I hired one.
