Unbeknownst to me, this agency somehow obtained my policy from Baehler Insurance without my knowledge or approval. I tried to call on multiple occasions to speak to my new broker after finding out that my premiums had doubled, but he/she never returned my calls. I called over 10 times and left messages with no return calls. I called the Underwriter (ASI/Progressive), who informed me that only the agent who wrote the policy could cancel. I switched agents and continued to call to get my pro-rated premiums returned. Guess what? No calls back. No refund. I understand one call slipping through the cracks, but ten? That was intentional. To say this agency is bad is an understatement, god forbid something actually happen and I needed their assistance. I wouldn't walk away from this agency, I would run. As fast as you possibly can.

I have to have some test done on my heart, and the approval was originally denied. I spoke to a couple other representatives but Barb took the time to call me back today and let me know that the approval went through. This has Blown my mind. I used to wait hours, days and months to get phone calls back or speak to a representative from previous insurance companies in California. I sometimes went without medication and would have to wait to have test and procedures done for months at a time. It will come to the point where my nephrologist would call with me to get something done or help me get what I needed. It was extremely frustrating at times so I want to let you know how amazing your representatives are. This insurance company is wonderful if you're looking around, I would not hesitate.

But when he decided to leave the insurance industry (should have been my hint that things weren't great behind the scenes) my customer service went way down. My business was handed to the owner, Wil Stephany. Like any business owner, Wil wears many hats and is concerned with his bottom line. The personalized calls and answers to my questions became very brief as a result and I would get automated emails that conflicted with what I was being told. Understandable since he has a lot going on, but if he was too busy to work with me as an agent, my business should have been delegated to someone else. However, year after year my premiums would go up and I was told it was just the trends of the industry. Also true, but I kept finding better deals online for the same coverage. I rationalized it away thinking "it's okay, I'm paying more because I have an agent who will be my advocate if I ever need to make a claim" Boy was I wrong. Your agent is supposed to work for you and be your champion to the insurance provider. Not assist in gaslighting and refusing to answer basic questions or lamenting how much time you've wasted by airing your grievances and concerns. I sincerely caution any considering to work with this group that you will get smiles and pleasantries until you actually need them to do something for you beyond the bare minimum of processing your renewal. Go elsewhere, or skip having an agent altogether. Paying extra for their 'services' certainly wasted my time.

After everything was said and done with my auto insurance, the price was $50 cheaper than my current company with better coverage! I couldn't believe it. My home insurance was a few hundred dollars higher, but it came with much better coverage. It was well worth it because of Amy's customer service and patience with me--lol. I would much rather pay a little more for wonderful customer service, where I can speak to a representative, than pay less and have to track someone down.
