The shop owners don't really like it when I hear them low-ball someone with an offer for something then offer the person a proportional percentage more right in front of them.... But hey, free enterprise is the cornerstone of American trade. If they didn't make such a habit of ripping people off by giving such low bids for hard up people's items, they wouldn't have to get pissed off at me. If you're looking to hawk something and curious what it's worth to them, simply go on eBay and find the cheapest 'sold' or 'selling' listing for your item and knock about 20% off of that. This is the secret behind just about all pawn shops bidding science, btw.
