Unlike other contractors who bid on the same job, Trinity carefully examined the issue to understand possible root causes, and then talked me through exactly what they would do and why it would prevent the issue from returning. Trinity's bid wasn't the cheapest, but their reputation and communication made me much more confident in the investment, and I'm glad I chose them over the cheaper options. I highly value communication in a job like this, and Adrian exceeded all my expectations. He talked me through all the options, and shared regular updates about the start date and what to expect. Antonio did a great job knocking out the work, and the end result looks perfect! I got a few quotes, and I decided to work with Homestrong. I worked with Ben to get the quote and coordinate the schedule. He came out to do the measurements and quote, and he was patient in answering all my questions as we did the walk-through. He was also very thorough in answering my follow-up questions about their quote. Homestrong came in with the best price, and as near as I could tell, they were quoting comparable work and materials. I also appreciate that Ben later on consulted with the radon mitigation company that I was working with to make sure the radon system would work well with the encapsulation work. He was knowledgeable about the radon work, too. Jesus G and a co-worker (didn't catch his name) showed up right on time on the day of the work, and they worked hard all day and half of the next day. Jesus was also patient with me and answered my questions throughout the day, and both guys were considerate and flexible. I'm really happy with the work they did. My crawl spaces used to be that part of my house that I avoided, but now I'm much more comfortable with those areas. I don't have a before picture to show, but it was pretty bad in there.

Millworks Construction Services in Winter Park is the worst company out there! Our family had…read morenothing but problems with this company. We hired them to complete our log home after the log company set the logs, up to the point of getting a CO. They said it would be an 8 month build and provided us with a cost estimate. After 2 years and more than $100K over their bid we finally told them we couldn't afford another penny of their unbelievable overcharges and we finished the rest by ourselves! They didn't even know what they needed to complete to get a CO! Besides that, which was enough, a lot of their work and the work of their sub-contractors was shoddy and incomplete. We had to finish or redo a number of things to fix their screw-ups! They even failed the framing inspection and then charged us to fix the things that they were failed on!! Several of their sub-contractors were not licensed, including two plumbers that they hired, the first one made off with $10,000.00 for about $3000.00 worth of work and Millworks made us eat that, they didn't take responsibility for their own screw-up with that either!! I would not recommend them to anyone especially if you are building a true log home.

He also is a great communicator, is pro-active, goes the extra mile, and does what he says he will do! We had many unexpected issues pop up in our kitchen and bath re-model as our condo is in a very old building PLUS we were on a tight timeline as we had folks coming to stay at our condo and Matt somehow managed to work thru it all and meet our deadline. (He may have gained a few gray hairs but he did it!!) We live in Charleston, SC - so we were 2000+ miles away while the renovation was going on and had complete confidence in his work.
