He said he accepted my insurance (MetLife) but once work was complete he demanded I pay with cash or credit, and that I should go after my insurance for the reimbursement instead of his office. His reasoning was that my insurance is slow to give him his money. He kept saying, "we can't work for free!" And I kept replying, "I understand that. I'm not asking you to work for free. If my insurance was a problem, you should have said something when I filled out the paperwork BEFORE any work was done! If payment is slow, that's between you and my insurance, not me! Why would I come here to pay out of pocket (teeth cleaning) when I could be seen on base for FREE!"
