Very disappointed in the customer service from Steeples Vet Clinic in Cranbrook. When we were visiting friends we had to take our dog in due to bloat. The Vet on call was new to the practice and after treating our dog and getting him stable she wanted to do an X-Ray, however, she was unable to figure out how operate the machine. She then called in a Technician to operate the machine. Unfortunately we were charged $112 for the Technician that would not have been called in had the vet on call been able to work the machine. Since being home I have left 2 messages for the clinic owner to discuss the charge before she returned my call today. She was agitated from the start. I was asking to have a review of the charge for the Technician. (I did not ask for my money back at this point but to have a discussion and review of the charge) Keeping in mind that we have already paid the $690 bill so its not that I don't want to or can't pay my bill. After raising her voice and repeating herself over and over again that its policy to call in a Technician. I had to ask her to adjust her tone and that the Technician should have then been called in when I originally called in stating we were coming in with a bloated dog and not after the treatment and only when the vet couldn't operate the x-ray machine. I made it clear that I'm not disputing the charge of the x-ray or the level of care provided but that I feel we should not have had to pay for the Technician due to the on call Vet not knowing how to use the tools and equipment. She decided she would think about it and call me back. She called back shortly after and stated she would not be adjusting the bill and again continued to repeat herself over and over again about policy to call in a Technician ending with her hanging up on me. In my opinion this type of customer service is unacceptable. The care and ability is not in question, however, I would not recommend this clinic to anyone based on our experience. read more
