Soon after moving to North Carolina, I had a wedding I needed to go to back on the West Coast. I…read morehad to scrounge, as it was, to find an animal hospital that could give my three dogs a clean bill of health prior to boarding them. Once I got in quickly with one, it was soon discovered that one of my Great Danes had hook worm. I was so deflated, as we were running against the wire and I had already booked a very lovely weekend for them at Pampered Pets. The onboarding/registration gal walked me through the whole process and assured me that even though Cleo was infected, they would still board her. There was of course just precautions they'd have to take -- and they wouldn't be able to play with all the other dogs. While I had to pay extra - which in the circumstances, I was so glad to do -- my babes still were kept comfortable and received extra love. The only con to this place is that they are a bit far from me, but I would absolutely drive the distance each and every time I need my babes to have overnight accommodations. Price was reasonable and the facilities are beautiful! They are happy to provide you a tour, and let's just say, if they had human quarters, I'd probably take a staycation there, myself. For context, I have two Great Danes that stayed with them, one of which was/is a puppy and was very scared and bite-y, and they were still so amazing and understanding. 10/10

They welcomed Rocko with caress making him feel comfortable as well as myself. They took their time to learn about his personality and routine. There was positive energy throughout the facility, which was spotless and smelled amazing. I appreciate the pictures and the report card that was given to me at pickup. When they were bringing Rocko to me he wanted to go back and play which said it all that he had a blast! When he got to the truck he was happy and tired which was a good thing, he slept all night. I can't say enough about this place but bring your fur baby you will be glad you did!

But the worse part of all of this was that Lori charged my credit card the total grooming charge the day BEFORE she even came to my house to perform the service. She also charged a 12% sales tax plus a 4.06 fee for using my credit card. I found this out from my credit card company after the fact. Also, six days before this, my credit card was charged a fee for Lori to check to see if my credit card was good. To me, this is very poor business practices and I will never recommend her service to anyone.

The Cuddle Cutz price was extremely affordable, the same as a pet store, and Cuddle Cutz was coming to my home on my schedule! I have a long haired cat and added a sanitary trim and paw trim to the dog's nail trim. This was also very affordable. The Cuddle Cutz team arrived a few minutes early and the dog and cat immediately ran up to greet them. The team have a very calm presence. Cuddle Cutz did the grooming in my downstairs bathroom. Both animals were comfortable in this space. Cuddle Cutz brought a portable grooming table, vacuum, broom, dustpan, and of course the "tackle box" of grooming supplies. Also treats! They were extremely fast and only took around 15 minutes for both animals. It was a very easy transaction and I will call them for any future grooming needs.
