Called them as soon as I got home and was initially told to ride back to the shop, 12 miles on I-95! I then asked for Charlie and spoke with him. I explained that the bike was my only mode of transportation and that I couldn't ride down. I asked that he send a contact team to apply the two bolts they failed to apply before I left the shop, he initially told me he wouldn't do it. I raised hell and then he told me that he would send someone the following day, "probably in the morning..." Charlie's a personable guy, his mechanic wiped my bike down prior to me picking it up, but this is a no-brainer. A situation like this... send a mechanic on the 20 minute drive to apply the bolts. Do that, and you won't have to deal with disappointed FORMER customers. I won't go back, and I recommend you don't either. If they're making a stink over 2 bolts, imagine what it'll be like with a large purchase.

He said the bike wasn't ready yet and I said clearly. He didn't apologize and was condescending stating he would've called me if it was. I said you told me an hour and I thought maybe he didn't have my correct number. He was like I will text you when it's ready and could not give me a time.The long and the short was he had the attitude that if I didn't like it I could go somewhere else. SO I DID. I went 5 blocks down the road to Conte Bike shop and the tech had me in and out in 10 minutes and said my tire was fine. $33 and done verses $70 quote and a waste of time. Dropped 883 Sportster at Underground Garage .for oil change …read more Ray said hand break light not working.Brought back Picked up February 12 th ,,paid for oil change hand break lights not working..Didn't charge me then.Ray ,owner was going to Daytona bike week .Had to wait.February 22 dropped off again ,still not fixed.Picked up ,had to ride without rear break light working . Dropped off again March 29 .He kept bike till April 23 .Friday . When I picked up bike ,,,.No Hand break lights .No Foot break lights .No Turn signals and battery dead .He said just ride bike for 45 minutes to charge battery . I said ,Ray ,I can't take bike like this with far more broken than when originally dropped off February . He said come back tomorrow.Saturday.Will have it ready. Came back .No hand break lights,no foot break lights ,no turn signals and speedometer wasn't working .Lastly bike had loss of compression.Missing really bad .I asked him why all these things weren't working .He said everything worked great when I picked up Saturday . Took it to other Harley mechanic first thing Monday morning .then went to Ray ,thinking he'd give me my money back .Again. he said everything worked great . Waiting for repair bill of new mechanic business to correct damage done to my bike.will post diagnostic results . May 28,,Peterson's Harley Davidson charged me $350 to correct electrical system where wires were crossed,ie blew all fuses .Carburetor missing part and had to be rebuilt.$650,all started with oil change at Underground Garage.My bike has always been in top performance. The handlebars were rusting under the grips and the cone spike filter was sun faded. These guys aren't fast talking salesmen . They tell you what you need, and get it done quickly as soon as the parts get in, so you can get back on the road. When you buy a Harley Davidson motorcycle, it seems like the dealership or most any Harley Davidson Dealers are empowered to treat you with a strong condescending attitude. Once you've purchased your motorcycle from them, it behooves you to find a good mechanic that will treat you with reasonable respect.
