My emotional stability and attention span improved dramatically. I had doubts that I would ever feel "normal" and comfortable in my studies, but through her guidance I finally feel like my true self. She's always calm and takes extra time to listen to her patients. Gabrielle is a miracle worker. The Abelard psychotherapy was the only locations that would accept my previous Masshealth insurance. I now have better health insurance and still choose to spend 1 hour to travel there. It's also nice to be welcomed by the secretaries that are always sweet and helpful. Two thumbs up.

Rockland Recovery Group at Quincy for BH had a much bigger impact on me than I ever expected…read more I came in during a difficult time in my life and, if I'm being truthful, I thought I was going to "fix a few things" and get out. What I found instead was a place that challenged me, supported me, made me laugh, made me think, and gave me tools and perspectives I know I'll carry with me long after leaving. The biggest reason this program works is the people. The clinicians were all different in the best possible way. Some sessions were deeply thought-provoking, some were practical, some helped reconnect mind and body, and some somehow started with one simple question and ended with me realizing something about myself I had never seen before. I never felt like there was one rigid way I was supposed to heal. I felt like the staff genuinely wanted to understand me and help me figure out what I actually needed. Just as important was the overall environment. From the people greeting you when you walk in, to the check-ins, the humor, the encouragement, the familiar faces, and the small moments when you realize someone actually remembers what you told them -- it all adds up. There was a genuine sense of care here that is hard to describe unless you experience it. The group component also became incredibly important to me. Hearing other people be honest about what they were going through made me feel less isolated, and I learned just as much from the people sitting beside me as I did from many of the formal sessions. One of the biggest things I'm taking away is that support can guide you, but eventually you have to become an active part of your own rescue. That lesson changed something for me. I got more out of a few months at Rockland than I expected to get from any behavioral health program. I will forever be grateful to the people there and for the role they played in a very important chapter of my life. I would absolutely recommend Rockland Recovery Group to anyone who is struggling and considering getting help. I would also gladly volunteer, speak about my experience, and praise this program whenever given the opportunity.

It started off as an good experience between myself and therapist. It was actually quite pleasant…read more That being said, some changes were made in the office and administratively that completely ruined the therapeutic environment at Leeward. All of a sudden, billing practices were changed without any notice, transparency went down the hole, and correspondence with anyone other than the therapist did not exist. I was made to feel like I was obligated to attend sessions I attempted to cancel and charged fees pretty randomly. In fact, I'd say the office went as far as to exacerbate some of my issues by being clearly unsympathetic and focused primarily on making a dollar. My therapist was new to the practice, and quite understanding, but couldn't avoid the bureaucracy of the administration. Seemed like there wasn't much support from above. When it was time for me to end my relationship with Leeward, no attempt to communicate was made until I prompted confirmation.

I never believed this kind of peace and wellbeing to be possible until I started working with Melissa. Therapy is work, no doubt about that! But its 100% worth it. I have seen many therapists throughout my life but none as long as Melissa. She quickly shifted to accommodate virtual office visits during the pandemic and in the aftermath. I wouldn't be the woman, mother, attorney or friend I am without her. 100% recommend to anyone and everyone. There is no one out there like Melissa!

Josephine is one of the kindest, most genuine individual's I've ever met with. You can tell that…read moreshe truly cares about each of her patients and wants the absolute best for them. She "knows her stuff" and I have full confidence in whatever recommendations she makes for me (be it medication changes or coping skills). What has not been mentioned in the reviews is Josephine's personality. She is ALWAYS smiling and her laugh is contagious. I've yet to leave a session without cracking a smile and letting a laugh out. She is not your conventional, albeit dry personality, that is often present in the healthcare industry. Josephine is a much needed fresh of breath air in this line of work. Most of all, she really cares.

She'd charge random fees and different co-pays to my HSA card and did not provide an itemized invoice. My HMA shut me down as a result and I forfeited the balance in my account. It was worth it to not deal with her. She tried to change my medication every time I saw her. I know what works for me. She wouldn't listen. She insisted on a regimen of fish oil and magnesium (quack quack). Unfortunately she was the only prescriber in the area that my insurance would cover. My previous psychiatrist and I worked on my meds for years. She thought she knew better. Also, she's not a psychiatrist. She's a psychiatric nurse practitioner. There is a big difference. She'd try therapy and I told her I only wanted a prescriber. I was not comfortable with her. She did not create an atmosphere of trust. That annoyed her and she'd let me know in a very vocal way.

I will be honest, this is not something I had every really put a whole lot of thought into but, I had some time to kill and I figured - what did I have to lose? I laid down on the table eager to see what would happen. After determining the region that I needed the work, Fyonna placed her hand on my stomach. She made a few very insightful comments and asked a few questions but otherwise I just relaxed on the table. When she was finished, she told me that the work would be complete in a few more days and that the positive change would be in full effect in about a week. She told me that I need do nothing more. I continued on about my day not thinking much more about it. The following day I noticed that I felt more clear and calm about about the steps I needed to take in light of my recent resignation from a 10 year career in law enforcement. Within 3 or so days I noticed that my habit of constantly placing my hands over my abdominal area had vanished. Within the week I had my menstrual cycle and was astonished to realize that the painful cramping and awful mood swings I was accustomed to were hardly noticeable. Within 10 days I landed myself the perfect part time job. I am so impressed with the work that Fyonna has done that I have already booked my next session and will be traveling over an hour so that she can move on to my next area. I've even convinced a skeptical, but much in need, friend to join me. If you have ever felt, 'stuck', 'blocked', 'stumped' etc. I strongly suggest you contact Fyonna at A Wellthy You.
