We stopped in with our dog today and absolutely loved this place. Outdoor seating with just enough sunshine on a cold day. The bartender was very kind to offer to turn the outdoor heat on but it wasn't necessary. She was very good at helping with our beer tasting, we settled for a porter... or two, and a blonde stout. Food truck for lunch outside was delicious. I'll definitely be returning this Winter. It was a great find on our Saturday afternoon adventure. read more

I'm not a beer person, but a lot of people in my life are. I came tot his brewery on someone else's recommendation and was blown away. They have this really good fruit beer (not cider. Fruit beer) as well as an amazing selection of beers. They have snacks and are kid friendly and they recently opened their food truck which has absolutely amazing food. 10/10 recommend. This place is quickly becoming a regular spot for me. They are also kid and dog friendly. What more could you want from a brewery? read more

The food truck has great sliders and tater tots Sunday brunch burritos are huge and good but wait the is a brewery not big inside but big on quality and service. Steve and I recently went to Kalaloch Lodge and went through Aberdeen. We knew that a couple new breweries in the area opened up but we didn't make to Steam Donkey and the other one until on the way back. While I was frustrated how our timing was the wait was well worth it. After our visit and as I was getting to review the place I investigated their website and found that Steam Donkey is the first craft brewery that has opened in Aberdeen in 70 years! Wow! I am a surprised that it took so long but I am sure the locals here are very excited to have a craft brewery like this in their town. We both got the same beer. It was cold the day we stopped in Aberdeen and a dark beer is exactly what we both wanted. They had a porter on tap which was a perfect match for the weather outside. It was a delightful beer! The staff was very friendly too! I saw that they had a wheat beer( and heard of a jalapeno flavored beer that they have but was not on tap when we went here) that looked promising and since we go to Westport fairly often to go to the beach( our dogs love the beach there) there is a great likelihood that we will swing by here again to enjoy Steam Donkey's great craft beers! read more

While making a trip to ocean shores my wife and I was able to make a quick stop by Steam donkey after lunch/dinner. Overall I was underwhelmed. I dont know if we hit an off day or I wasnt feeling this brewery, but overall we left a little underwhelmed. This summer has been weird where all I want to drink is stouts/porters and hazy/NE ipas. I was excited to visit this location because I noticed they have a stout that sounded promising. We ordered a flight of 4 grabbed the IPA, Stout, Irish red, and christmas beer. For both of us, non of the beers really hit the mark. The irish red was pretty good flavor, but had a strange after taste. The Christmas beer had great spice forward note, but a slightly weak back end. The ipa for me was just off all around. Couldn't really taste the hops, didnt get the ipa dank, nothing was quite right on it. And the Stout had almost a char flavor rather than a smokey. Part of the reason I stopped was to potentially fill up a grumpy, but we ended up leaving without anything to go. Overall the place was nice enough for a brewery, great location. The beer was not for us at all. The brewer/bartender was very friendly and helpful. Like I said i dont know if it was an off day for them or for us. I was pretty tired after a weekend of yard work and 2 hours of driving. It may have just been a bad time to visit a new brewery. read more

Husband = beer drinker. Flight was amazing. If they have the Lavender Saison try it. The owner was chatting and offered a taste. Smelled delish and my husband likened it to a smooth cream soda (yeah just try it) evidently it was a collaboration with another brewery which is also cool. For the non beer drinker = me they had locust vanilla bean cider yummmmmm and lots of treats including games. Go, have fun. It's a great vibe and the owners are pretty cool too!!! I only wish I lived in Aberdeen so I could come here more often, but I will be here every time we come to town. Steam Donkey is also doing a fantastic job with special events like "yoga and beer" (yoga on a Sunday morning followed by a beer or two at noon - is there a better reward for burning those calories?). Recently took my son here during a break between a double header baseball outing. Cool little location, good to see a local Aberdeen place doing well as there was only one table available. Got my son the carbonated lemonade which was very tasty! I went for the Mountains Out IPA and we shared a pint of peanuts. Service was spectacular and we were greeted with smiles and quick pours. Everything was clean and the atmosphere was great. The only thing keep this from 5 stars is the IPA - With so many local brewers, you've got to have your brew game on strong and while it was good, it wasn't the epiphany I was hoping. Regardless though, this is a must visit place operated by good people making good beer! Be a patron! read more

I love this place, the brews are delicious, the owners are very knowledgeable and nice. They even have board games and card sets for your enjoyment! The third time we came in, it was 10 till closing but they had a full house and they didn't hurry anyone out!
