Best food and service. love this place. on our way back to Memphis from Pell City, Al. couldn't find any place that wasn't a wait till we stumbled across this restaurant. honestly, it doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food was awesome. it was clean inside but old looking, dated. I'm ok with that as long as it's clean. the best biscuits I've had in a long time. breakfast was great. they also have a lunch special, 3 choices of main dish and lots of sides to choose from. For a diner that has bee around for a while the place is clean. The staff was also nice and friendly. The food was alright but a few things struck me as odd. The hamburger steak I ordered didn't come with any type of gravy much less a brown gravy I would expect but it tasted alright. I'm also not sure what type of chicken stew I received but it seemed more like a soup. I'll just try the breakfast next time. read more

After ordering our food, over an hour later, we still hadn't gotten our dinner. The restaurant was pretty much empty, the server was simply just not wanting to do her job. I hardly write reviews but this was beyond disappointing. One of the others at our table had to bring his glass to the waiter to have it refilled, it didn't dawn on her to go refill all the other drinks at our table. To sum up the whole experience, our waiter was too busy flirting with the young men at another table, she chose to ignore everyone else and not do her job. We left without our dinner. read more

This place had just reopened after closing for a deep clean before beginning their no smoking policy. We stopped for breakfast and enjoyed super tasty omelettes and sausage and gravy on their delightfully fluffy fresh biscuits. Owner showed favoritism toward a waitress/es 7. 2ndshift with 4 cars in parking lot, took 25 min for cheeseburger 8. Sometimes it could take up to 5 min to wait on you. 9. Heather said "Our meeting is more important than the customers that walked out". 10. Let's talk sanitary...Come in morning, sometimes floor sticky, tables not cleaned. If they can't keep the front cleaned, I am wondering what the back looks like? 11. Seems like the waitresses are more interested on what's going on in the front smoking section and gossiping than they are waiting on customers. I don't understand the low reviews. This place has several times served me the best breakfast to be had in the area. It is one of the only restaurants I've eaten in in years that doesn't over-cook eggs. So what if they allow smoking at some tables? This never used to bother anyone. Do you remember the tv show Roseanne and the restaurant The Lanford Lunchbox from it? This place will put you in mind of that. Rude servers (gruff but lovable), dingy/tacky decorations, and SMOKE!! You WILL smell like an ashtray when you leave from the thick smoke. The back of the restaurant is supposedly nonsmoking but the smoke still makes it's way back and the cash register is right in the middle of the smoke so it's kind of pointless. The food, however, is very good. You know how they say no one wants to see how the sausage is made? Well, the saying holds here too. The food is good but you do not want to see where and how it is cooked. Turkey club sandwich with spicy fries and ranch dressing is my favorite. Probably the best club sandwich you'll find. The place is open 24 hours but BEWARE, they only accept cash. They have an ATM inside the store that you can use (ATM FEES!). I assume they do this to pass the credit card fees to the customer. read more

My fiancé and I went for the first time in years, last night. We enjoyed our food very much. We started off with the "Seasoned Nany fries" which come with bacon,cheese, seasoning and a side of ranch. In our opinion, It was amazing. My fiancé ordered a burger with fries. The burger was pretty big and good, he said. I ordered hot wings and a grilled cheese, it was pretty good as well. Our food was fresh. The service was also good, she constantly kept our cups full and gave the condiments we needed. I had gone a few years back and did not have a good experience. This time, was so so much better: we are pleased and will be back :) I believe it's under new ownership, as well. They have also remodeled a bit. read more

I like this place! The atmosphere is vary rustic amd charming makes me feel cozy! And you can smoke inside which you don't see much anymore so that's a big bonus! But the pancakes that i ordered were awful, very doughy and salty, if i didnt have syrup i would have sent it back. The bacon was over cooked but not terrible and the eggs and biscuits and gravy however were pretty good! The wait staff are vary kind and fast, had my food out in a vary timely matter! I definitely recommend this place for a late night dinner or breakfast, everything is decently priced and is worth trying out! read more

Everything is made to order and comes out hot and absolutely delicious. The servers are always super sweet and accomodating. If you can't handle cigarette smoke, this is not the place for you.
