I simply must express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service that Johnny Taylor, of…read moreBlanton's Air Plumbing and Electric, performed on my home. Johnny completed a very complex water pipe replacement in my crawlspace and bathroom faucet installation. Johnny is an amazing plumber who handled everything with great skill and professionalism. Going forward, I will always call on Blanton's for work in my home; in the case of plumbing I will request Johnny every time. Thank you Blanton's for a job well done. -Yvonne L.

He took my iPhone and made sure I was on the page where I could leave those 5 stars. After he left, I used the toilet. It wouldn't flush. He was still on my street and I got him to return. He apparently corrected his mistake. For now the toilet flushes. But a few hours later I walked into the bathroom and the floor was flooded. I called the company's 24-hour" service. The AI "attendant" said they would try to fit me in Monday. Be careful before you expect this company to meet their promises and your expectations. Beware. Just look at what they advertise. The guy they sent to my house was intent on generating additional services, but incompetent to perform services for which he was hired and for which I paid.

He explained the whole process...everything from the installation to the financing. The unit was installed within a reasonable time frame. After waiting four days for the appointment(booked on 7th Aug and got appointment on 11th Aug), the technician spent about 15 minutes using a power snake, then advised that a camera inspection was needed. American Shield declined the estimate, and I was quoted $748 for the camera inspection alone, with additional repair costs still unknown. Wanting another opinion, I contacted a local plumber. They used Zep drain unclogging gel and a thin drain snake, which cleared the clog quickly. The total cost was about $60. This was a frustrating experience, but I am glad I sought a second opinion. I would encourage others to get multiple estimates before approving significant plumbing work. I had water overflowing back from my washer drain and was assigned Comfort First Heating and Cooling through American Shield. After waiting four days for an appointment, the technician spent barely 15 minutes using a power snake. Instead of thoroughly trying to clear the clog or exploring simpler options, he quickly concluded that a camera inspection was required. Within minutes, American Shield denied the estimate, saying it was not covered by my plan. Comfort First then quoted me $748 just for the camera inspection - before even diagnosing or fixing the actual issue. With potential drywall cutting and repairs afterward, I can only imagine how high the final bill could have been. Thankfully, I called a local plumber for a second opinion. They used Zep drain unclogging gel, waited a few minutes, and used a thin drain snake to clear the clog. Problem solved for about $60 total. It is very frustrating that such a basic troubleshooting step was not attempted first. Please get a second or even third opinion before agreeing to expensive work, especially when dealing with larger companies.
