He took my iPhone and made sure I was on the page where I could leave those 5 stars. After he left, I used the toilet. It wouldn't flush. He was still on my street and I got him to return. He apparently corrected his mistake. For now the toilet flushes. But a few hours later I walked into the bathroom and the floor was flooded. I called the company's 24-hour" service. The AI "attendant" said they would try to fit me in Monday. Be careful before you expect this company to meet their promises and your expectations. Beware. Just look at what they advertise. The guy they sent to my house was intent on generating additional services, but incompetent to perform services for which he was hired and for which I paid.

American Shield declined the estimate, and I was quoted $748 for the camera inspection alone, with additional repair costs still unknown. Wanting another opinion, I contacted a local plumber. They used Zep drain unclogging gel and a thin drain snake, which cleared the clog quickly. The total cost was about $60. This was a frustrating experience, but I am glad I sought a second opinion. I would encourage others to get multiple estimates before approving significant plumbing work. I had water overflowing back from my washer drain and was assigned Comfort First Heating and Cooling through American Shield.
