I arrived 20 minutes after making my reservation ( I wish I waited until I got to the property to give my credit card information) only to find out that it is not on the ocean and there is no private balcony. They refused to refund my card. I called my credit card company and the only thing I could do was make an appeal but no guarantee that I would get a refund. I could not take that chance so unfortunately we had to stay here. This is an old motel with no updating. Pictures on website are deceiving. I suggest you see the property in person before giving them your credit card information! There was a used towel and bathing suit left in the bathroom from prior guest. Room has a bad musty smell.

I washed all the mattress pads and didn't use any blankets or bed spreads. Old and outdated bathroom, the lock on back sliding door was broken. The outside deck door was off its hinges and didn't close. Rusted inside the dishwasher. I hand washed all week. Tile flooring had cracks and holes in it. Couches in LR were disgusting and stained. Also the beach equipment was stored in a cubby hole outside and was all rusted and caked with dirt, unusable. Unit was supposed to be cleaned and ready to enter at 2 pm on Saturday but was not. Daniels Realty had to contact other cleaners to come and clean and we could not get in until 5 pm. Extremely disappointing and the photos are very misleading. JoAnn Nenow

The Positives: - Nice and spacious unit with an updated kitchen. - Right on the beach (the walk to and from is very short) - huge balcony that my 18mo loved hanging out on - close to the Cape May Bridge so getting on n off the highway was simple - gated condo - the homeowner had all of our 'complaints' fixed immediately - they have a beach wagon with chairs in the laundry room - we used it every day we went to the beach... It was awesome - master bedroom had a very soft/comfy bed - water pressure in the hall bathroom is strong The Negatives and Issues: - the blinds in the 2 bedrooms off the main walkway were all jacked up so anyone walking by could see in... They were replaced within 3 days of complaining to the management company - the washer broke (I think it had a short in it)... by the end if the week someone came in to fix it) - my bedroom (the one with the twin beds) had a really hard mattress ... I'd recommend bringing your own bed liner cushion if you plan to stay in this room - the pans that we cook eggs with in the morning were really scratched up an gross (and not healthy to even eat off of)... So they realtor we booked this room with brought over new pots and pans... Very nice of her! Like I said before, most of these issues got straightened out... I did enjoy myself and so did the others in my group. We really appreciated the fact that the owner and management company did the best that they could to fix all of our complaints and issues. They are super responsive and I can't speak enough about my stay in the Summers. They have a shuttle that takes you to the beach or if you feel like a walk it's not terribly far away. Prices are really reasonable and I think you would love this little hideaway. The staff is there to help you with anything you need. I did not have a chance to stop for breakfast in the office, as I was visiting relatives for the holidays. Don't miss this little gem. You're here to go to the beach or shop not sit in the pool.

No signs posted. No email about check-in process. When I booked our room we were informed that there was a YMCA we could use with pool and there was a weekend continental breakfast. After finally finding check-in at a hotel one block away we were told no gym, no pool and no breakfast. I understand hotels can change policies, however you should let your booked guest know of the changes via email. I never received any information regarding the change. I didn't even receive a "We look forward to seeing you" email. I had to go back to my rezy to make sure I booked correct days. Nice clean room, comfortable bed and pillows. The lighting around the mirror was terrible, especially if you needed to shave. Overhead light would have been best. The restroom door would not lock which is fine, however the pocket door would not stay in place, it would just roll open. Sitting requires some privacy. Room was mostly quiet other than some loud car honking from the main road. Very good a/c. Our in room safe did not work. There was only one ice machine on the second floor, no ice scoop provided.

It's conveniently located to the shops/restaurant and the beach- within walking distance. The staff is welcoming and helpful. It has street parking, and a parking garage for guests only. The hotel boasts of a beautiful indoor pool and restaurant. The restaurant/bar Sirocco is very elegant and was completely full both nights of our stay. The pool is nice and heated, but still chilly in cold weather - though my kids didn't seem to mind. The doors open out to a nice rooftop patio in nicer weather. There is a small gym, though I didn't get a chance to go look at it. There are some points of improvement: - we left our room at 8 in the morning. When we came back around noon, it had not been visited by the cleaning staff. When we left and came back again around 3, it had been visited but only stocked with fresh towels and the trash was taken out. Our soiled towels and some dishes were still on the floor/sink. When we left for dinner, I mentioned it to the front desk attendant at 530. He was very apologetic and said they would send someone up to address the issue. When we got back at 8, our soiled towels were gone, but that was it. The beds were not made, and there were still old dishes on the sink from the night prior. - I pulled out one of the clean (or so I thought) glasses from the cabinet in the room and noticed it had a bunch of finger prints. So I pulled each and every one out of the cabinet and was surprised and disappointed to see not only fingerprints but LIP prints on all of the glassware, as if they had been put back dirty after multiple uses. I cleaned a glass in the sink with hot water and soap for my own usage, but that's less than optimal for a Hilton affiliate. Other than that, a great family visit at a nice hotel. We talked to the assistant general manager Cyrus and he was great with service recovery for our two small complaints!

Since it was going to be very late, we were told our room number and the door would be left open for us. Knowing this made us feel less pressure and less rushed to leave Atlantic City before we were ready. I loved the way the room had been decorated with a beach theme throughout. Everything was very clean, and it came furnished with kitchen ware. It was a relaxing space. The next morning there were plenty of children and parents enjoying the pool. The view of the beach and ocean was a pleasant surprise. I would come back for sure.

Some rooms are remodeled, some aren't. Money charged is the same no matter which room you get. They were very helpful when we decided to stay an additional night and had no problem accommodating us and allowing us to stay in the same room on our additional night. Housekeeping didnt get this note to say we were staying an extra day and the woman was very confused as to why we were still there. No big deal at all though. The rooms and decor could use some updating, the appliances are very old as well Its absolutely amazing out back along the bay. The prices were good and we had a great stay.
