I kind of hate to do this review because I would rather keep the existence of this little gem to…read moremyself, but I have to give credit where it is due. This place is the best. I am a Pirate alum and we recently went back to Greenville for a visit. Chris, the owner, is a great guy. He responds extremely fast via email, is kind and helpful, and he didn't require a credit card to hold the room, just a phone number. He was outside doing some landscaping when we arrived - the place looked great, both inside and out. There is off-street parking available to guests, which is nice. We stayed on the 3rd floor in the Chancellor's Suite and loved it. Very roomy and well worth the extra $20/night! The housekeeper, Bilma, made a delicious breakfast in the mornings and was kind and accommodating when we kept asking for more juice. They also leave cookies out each night for the guests. There are additional rooms downstairs for guests to dine & relax, as well as a screened in porch. Every single thing was clean & welcoming. The proximity to downtown & campus is unbeatable - you can walk anywhere. We will definitely stay here again. We loved it!

When the house was made into a B&B a couple of years ago, they did a wonderful job of keeping the modern updates consistent with the period of the house. When we first arrived, we were greeted by a friendly guy named Sean who showed us around the common spaces and brought us to our room. I felt at home immediately. We were encouraged to nibble on any snacks left out for guests and to help ourselves to any wine or beverages that might be out. The room was gorgeous and received tons of light through the two windows. There was a tv with a dvd player, but limited channels (that didn't really matter as we spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch reading or enjoying a glass of wine). Breakfast was out for guests the next morning and included a delicious quiche, fresh fruit, yogurt with granola, and orange juice. All in all, I felt welcome, but no one on staff hovered around; indeed, the food seemed to magically appear and the dirty dishes magically disappear! The last thing I will mention is how great the shower was. I know, this is an odd thing to bring up, but for a house of its age, the water pressure was great and the towels were slightly fluffier than regular hotel towels. I urge everyone going to Greenville for the weekend (or longer!) to consider the 5th Street Inn. I am already planning my next visit back!

Checked in after my arrival time. Got to room, preparing room for wipe down and spray Lysol fabric…read moreon all fabric in room. Turn over pillows a saw stain (looked like blood) on linen, checked shower and wasn't clean had mildew. I also noticed how nasty the chair material was and glad I didn't sit on it Chatted with front desk, sent somebody up with sheets to change bedding. I asked to be switched to another room. I was told to come back to front desk to change to a different room. I refused to walk all my belongings down from the 5th floor. Then I was told someone would bring the new room key. Lady came to room with new key. She looked for the stain on the bed and didn't see one. I had to show her the stain, she took a picture. I asked her to stay while I checked other room and the linen was fine. After she left I checked the bathroom and mildew again. I didn't complain, I'm just over this stay all together. It started before I even checked in with the military discount not applied and still I don't have an answer about the amount of discount applied. Ordered from the restaurant on site, delivery did take a little longer than expected. The lady that delivered was really nice. After trying the food, very disappointed. I wanted to go boxes but the food should not have been cold. I'm not sure if the food was not seasoned well or it was from it being cold. The brick oven eggplant was awful, fries were cold and stuck together. The peel and eat shrimp was ok. I wanted the red velvet cake but it was no longer on the menu. I scanned the bar code that was on display in the room. The barcode is old and should be updated with the current menu as well as prices. I left out for the evening, hung my breakfast for room service in the morning, it was still there after I came back after 2am so I removed it from the door. This is the worse experience ever from booking to checking in. I'm really looking forward to see what else arises before I checkout Sunday. AC is a joke and noisy. Pictures are below and I have videos of the showers but can't upload them. #hiltonhonors #hiltoncoporate #hiltongreenvillenc #207swgreenvilleblvd

Ok, let's take into consideration they are doing renovations, however the timing of said renovations and the factors needed to assist with the renovation projects was just off. This was the hotel used for a recent training and I really wished they would have done a little research to see that renovations were being done and looked elsewhere for our stay. The hotel does offer free breakfast, however be prepared to see the same menu every morning. Moving along, the staff was very friendly and helpful considering the circumstances. More than half of the rooms on each floor were closed due to renovations. The banging noises were expected and beyond my control, however common courtesy should allow for certain times of the day and night for said renovations. Being awakened at 7am and unable to get any sleep should not be allowed. I understand it's their job but at least put signs up notifying guests of the times. The other thing that was very much disturbing and frustrating was around the same time every evening the water was shut off for 2 hours!! This is ridiculous when you've been out all day and just want to take a shower or relax. So, because of all this, I would leave and not return until later in the evening when it was all over. Who wants to sit in their room without running water and unable to shower or use the bathroom! Plus I was locked out of my room, the night before check out. Staff did all they could with trying to get it taken care of but for some reason no matter how many keys they gave me, none of them didn't work. This was very frustrating considering everything else. The hotel is in dire need of renovations and upgrades because it has seen its share of years. A lot of things are very outdated. One, I do not like staying in places with carpet in the rooms so hopefully they will upgrade to better flooring. Showers are outdated, the bathroom Is small and furniture could use some sprucing up. Maybe once all is said and done, it will look totally different and well upgraded. They definitely want to come up to modern standards bc they have a new hotel being built across the street and others around the corner.

The only thing I didn't like was that my wake-up call was for 6 a.m. and instead my phone rang at 3 a.m.! Parker was the front desk staff who checked me in. The process was quick and easy. Parker was friendly. I was assigned room 104 with two queen beds. The room was clean. The bathroom had a traditional tub and shower. There was a microwave in a mini fridge in the room as well. Bathroom sink was in the area right before the area with a shower and toilet. I did notice the time on the alarm clock and microwave was incorrect. I had a virtual work meeting that started at 7pm. I said at the sink area that is right before the bathroom as my son was watching TV. A little after 8 PM, I started hearing water from the walls right there where I was sitting, in the sink area. I thought it was super odd that pipes would be in that area. I went in the bathroom, looked around, trying to see if there was water leaking and I didn't see anything. I kept hearing water running and it seemed to be getting louder so after about 10-15 minutes. I checked again, and I saw some water on the ground by the walls. I went to the front desk with the intention of telling someone to come check it out. Parker was still at the front desk. He apologize and offered to switch my room. After he looked me up, he told me that someone had just reported that their toilet was overflowing nonstop and it just happened to be their room above me. I was given a key to get back in my room before getting the keys to my new room. To my surprise, when I returned to my room, water was leaving from the ceiling, vents, and walls in the bathroom and in the sink area. My laptop was sitting on the sink when I left and was in a puddle of water when I returned, which I quickly grabbed. Once the stuff was packed up, we got a new room, 315. However, that room had an old TV and no fridge, which would've been a downgrade from what I had. I went back to the front desk and asked for another room. I was given 343 this time. This room had the upgraded TV and even had a walk in class shower. The sink was in the bathroom as well. Checked out little before 10am on Saturday. When front desk lady asked how my stay was, I told her what happened with the flooding and was given complimentary breakfast at the bistro. There are limited options. I got the French toast and strawberries with an orange juice. It didn't come with sides. My son opted for cereal and got a pre packaged fruit loops. Cons -I wish I would've been notified or had been checked on once it was initially reported, especially since an upper floor reported a flooding. To make matters worse, there wasn't any readily available maintenance. I'm not sure how long it took them to resolve the issue. -The computer and printing service in the lobby didn't work, which was unfortunate because there was something I needed to print. -Inconsistency with TVs Overall, it was a decent stay. The flooding wasn't the hotels fault. Friendly staff all around. I'd return and likely request an upper floor.

We stayed at this hotel for one night on Mar 21, 2026. Customer service was sufficiently pleasant,…read morethough there was a wait line to check in. There were two hand sanitizer stations and a water fountain by the lobby. The latter was most appreciated. Breakfast was decent. It was free so no complains about that. There are many eating places within a half-mile vicinity, as well as an Exxon gas station nearby that I visited twice during my stay (I have an Exxon Mobil rewards program). Even though the hotel is located on the east side of Greenville, driving to anywhere in the city is short. Our room number was 115. Photos attached are of this room. Each queen bed had four pillows in two sizes and two levels of fluffiness. The ones that were slightly more fluffy than the other was comfortable enough for a decent sleep. The room was facing the back lawn and fence. I was given the choice of the floor (out of two) for the room. Initially, I asked for one with a view of the parking lot, but the front desk clerk said there were none available. We didn't have a vehicle parked overnight so it wasn't an issue. That didn't mean there were no issues. The big one was the curtains. Curtains #1 could not be moved. Why were they ever there at all was a mystery, other than as an aesthetic piece. Curtains #2 - sheer curtains - were translucent and thin, so thin that they were being blown away from the window when the air-conditioner was turned on. This created a problem because curtains #3 - blackout curtains - were not fully straightened out at the base when closed. It left an opening that allowed anyone to peep in. Thankfully, the weather was cool enough to keep the air-conditioner turned off, so that curtains #3 would remain still to provide a layer of cover. It would be a big concern if we had stayed during the hottest time of the year. With all the curtains fully opened, the room was relatively dark. Aside from the standing, table and wall-mounted lamps, a light switch by the front door - which glowed red when in Off position - turned on the lone ceiling light at the doorway. That light wasn't bright. The hotel building is old, as old as the Hampton Inn in Peachtree City, GA. This was evidenced by side entrance, whose door require considerable effort to open. Overall, the stay was satisfactory though I enjoyed Hampton Inn and Tru by Hilton more. If I ever plan on returning to Greenville for a stay, I'd try a different hotel.

I didn't expect much because the brand was pretty budget the last time I stayed at one of their properties. I was pleasantly surprised that they've elevated themselves to become more than a budget hotel chain. This is a pet friendly hotel, and we paid a fee to bring our dog. The room we had was a suite of sorts, and it had a couch as well as a small fridge, microwave, and sink. I definitely found these to be useful. A nice touch is there there is a back door with card access that led to an area for dogs, and that included bags and a trash can. The room was not the most modern I've seen, but it was clean and everything worked. The king bed was on the soft side for me, but it wasn't the worst I've experienced. There is a free breakfast every morning from 6am to 9am. Not a continental breakfast, but one with actual eggs, sausage, and a lot of other choices. Cereal, make your own waffles, yogurt, muffins, prepackaged sausage biscuits, etc. Oh, and Seattle's Best coffee. Always a critical item. Overall, I was pleased with how our stay went and would have no qualms about staying at a Best Western in the future.

I was given a bottle of water, but not one of the welcome bags I saw prepared. I am Titanium, so it seems I should have gotten one. Other than that, the front desk service was friendly and helpful. I was put on the top floor, so that was also nice, as it would be quieter. My room was large with a fully equipped kitchen, desk area, dressers, and a table. The television swiveled so you could watch from many areas. There were a lot of stations to select from, so I was happy with that. The WIFI was also fast and reliable. The mattress was comfortable. The water pressure wasn't the greatest in the shower. The HVAC was somewhat controlled as it would only go in a certain range. The pillows were not to be liking either. The hotel has two elevators, an exercise room, an outside pool, and a guest laundry. Breakfast is served from the breakfast room in the mornings. They have washable plates and silverware. There was a good variety of items to select from, such as waffles, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, cereals, and breads. The first morning, the breakfast staff was very friendly and helped me find things and even gave me a remote to use for the TV in the dining area. The second morning, the same staff didn't even greet guests and were arguing about something nearby.

The room didn't smell good at all when entered the room and smelled worse when we turned the heat on. The latter is likely due to heat not being ran in a while. I stayed at this brand a couple weeks ago and room smelled amazing when I walked in, so this was a big difference. One bed wasn't fully made and fitted sheet was on backwards. The TV didn't work, so we thought, but figured out it wasn't plugged in all the way. The sofa bed was also broken and the cold water in kitchen sink water didn't work. I made front desk aware of the issues. She sprayed the room with some type of freshener, which was a temporary fix. Someone from maintenance was supposed to come for the sofa bed but never did, so one of my sons just slept in the bed with me. Front desk person was very nice, nonetheless. I was told management would reach out to me prior to me leaving but they never did and apparently wasn't in the building when they were supposed to, based upon me overhearing conversations between front desk and another guest. I emailed management and never got a response but did get some points added to my account. When we went to breakfast at 9:10am on Friday, it was mostly gone and honestly the most disappointing breakfast experience I've ever had. There were barely any plates (some not clean) and no silverware. Breakfast on Saturday was smoother. They do have games in the lobby along with a bar and meeting rooms. Based upon this experience, I can't say that I would want to return. I've had better experiences at other hotels in the area.
