Poor customer service. Did not provide rental with all amenities as specified. Uses international call center for after hours support.

I found them online in CA and their professionalism, courtesy, and friendliness made me feel welcome even before I arrived. Once I moved in after a few months I had a garbage disposal problem and their efficient and prompt acting diffused the situation. I loved going to their quaint office just to pay rent. Made me feel like home with their caring attitude and efficiency. They are a top-notch business in Whitefish and I would recommend them to anyone that is moving or staying seasonally for a rental. (If you are a single parent with any kids or even a cat she will automatically put you last on the list of her "preferred renters". Seeing how she only took a course on property management for her job, it seems ironic that she judges people who have a higher educational background and more respectable position but make less money. They charge a non refundable application fee ($40! Just to apply) and they won't schedule you to see a property until they have their priority tenants look first, then once you do get an appointment to see a property they claim it's already been rented- even if you were the first to apply, bc if they don't consider you priority you are the last to show, and they won't allow renting anything sight unseen. Even if you have a respectable employment, they don't respect you unless they think you have a lot of money. Most of the properties they manage are "seasonal", meaning they kick out locals for summer to up-charge for tourists. They are greedy and a huge part of the disproportionate housing problem in whitefish. I would not give them another penny, regardless of their inventory. Home owners/investors should rent out themselves or quit buying homes they don't intend to live in and making the locals fit the bill for the mortgages on their "investment" properties, when there are normal people here year round just trying to live.

Cigarette butts and a half eaten pills!…read more This place wasn't cleaned before we arrived and management company (Whitefish Escapes) felt like it was good enough. Outside of fact that they and the property owners (who they blamed) were unwilling to let us re-book our stay for a future date I am shocked they could pass this property to renters at all. They held us to every word of the 9 page agreement but then could not even have the place cleaned or the walkway cleared before we arrived. Cigarette butt and a half eaten pill on the night stand, egg covered pan put away as if clean, filthy towel left behind, water leaking from the vent in the downstairs bath, walkway from stairs to front door covered in snow/ice, door handle to the deck not functioning and past guest dirty clothing left behind. When I brought these up again after the trip and asked for a refund on the $350 cleaning fee they offered $100. I guess they agreed it was not clean but thought it was good enough for us. We were all grossed out by the property but more disappointed in Whitefish Escapes Management. If you are coming to Whitefish I would seriously avoid renting any property managed by them. Plenty of other options. We learned our lesson the hard way this time. Just to be clear, this review and rating have nothing to do with not being able to re-book for a future date or credit.

THOUGHT ABOUT OUR STAY AT 32 NELSONCREST - JULY 9-16 For…read moreseveral months we have looked with great anticipation to our week-long stay in Whitefish. The photos of the house and the view of Whitefish Lake were impressive and very appealing. We now know that photos taken at some time in the past do not accurately represent the current environment. In the case of 32 Nelsoncrest, they present an entirely misleading view. While none of us were anxious to leave Whitefish, we could not get out of that house fast enough. It could have been a very pleasant experience if you or the owners took a little time and money to properly stock the house and make necessary repairs. My wife and I entered the property at 3:45 on July 9 to be welcomed to a sauna. Literally! The living room temperature was 81 degrees. That was with the AC running, as well as three portable AC units and many fans. And that environment existed for the entire week. At some point each afternoon it reached 84 degrees! Not until the sun went down and we opened windows (those that could actually be opened) did the house start cooling down. By morning it was a pleasant 68 degrees. That lasted for a few hours until the sun again blasted through uncovered windows. I digress, the lower level kids bunkroom NEVER cooled down, without sufficient flow-through ventilation and no portable AC unit. The massive decorative windows might be a plus in the winter, but hardly in the summer. The issues with this property are numerous and described below. SUPPLIES/ FURNISHINGS If the house is going to be advertised as sleeping eight, there needs to be linens, extra towels, glasses, plates, and seating for eight. 1. Two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom and then you must buy your own. Really? 2. There were THREE glasses in the kitchen. Coffee mugs do not count. 3. Tissue box in master bath had two tissues left. No extra box found. 4. The house accommodates eight but the dining room table seats only six. 5. Patio has plenty of deck chairs but no table. 6. No bathroom wash cloths. 7. No kitchen towels of any kind. 8. One remote clicker only way in/out of garage. No button inside garage. Keypad outside garage but we were not provided code. Rather inconvenient. REPAIRS 1. Lower level kids bunkroom - torn wallpaper. How difficult is it to fix that? 2. Burned out light bulb in master bath. 3. Some doors need door stops to keep door from hitting wall. 4. Faucets in master bath and main floor bathroom need tightening. 5. Several windows need attention. We worked on the mechanism in three windows so they would open more easily. All should be looked at and serviced. 6. Deck surface will become a safety hazard. First, the deck covering is torn in one location, thus allowing water to seep below and damage whatever is underneath. It is already evident that water may have already affected the subsurface. Just walk on it and experience the give in the flooring. One day someone may just fall through. 7. The toaster over is disgusting and should be discarded. Would not always cut off. 8. Gas Grill - side burner and infrared worked but could not make main burners work. Infrared would not cut off so I turned off gas intake. 9. Replace accordion shades with real curtains. Please, at least cut the pieces to the height of the windows. More importantly, several windows could not be opened because the pieces of material could not be rolled up. And a great view of the lake from the kitchen window was hidden by shades that could not be rolled up. We also noticed that in the on-line house photos, none of these paper shades were shown. But then, neither did you show the portable AC units or floor fans. 10. The central AC unit might as well not exist. Even when running, it put out virtually no air. It would still take a lot to counteract the brilliant sunlight, but a new unit would certainly help. 11. Several light switches seem to control nothing? 12. Portable AC units are not thoroughly sealed at the window. The hot exhaust hose does not help the room temperature either. Maybe insulated hoses would help? 13. Major odor in kids bunkroom. We think it might be coming from the fireplace. It was noticed by everyone and nobody wanted to sleep in that room. This smell alone was almost reason enough to cancel the rental. It was almost unbearable and another potential health hazard. 14. The deck railing is a safety hazard and should be fixed immediately. Any weight pressed against it and the rail will fail. This is especially dangerous with young children running around. The deck would not pass any type of inspection. In summary, for an expenditure of nearly $3,200, we expected a lot more. If a little time and money were spent on this property, it might actually come close to the one we saw on your website. As it stands, I pity anyone else who has to ensure even one day at 32 Nelsoncrest.
