Everything is exactly as they said. The place was very clean and very high-end. Totally enjoyed our stay!

My family stayed at 102 Fernandina Cay the week of May10 through May16th…read more We have stayed at this complex for the past 6 years. in different units. A family member booked this trip for me. Upon arrival the building was in the process of being painted. All or most of the windows were sealed off for spraying. The weather was windy for the first couple of days, when this occurs, we spend the day at the pool. However, the pool was closed off and entry was wrapped so no one could enter. And the paint company was using large lifts, very noisy throughout the day. We had no balcony access or ocean view due to being wrapped and tapped off. Issue with Mocks management: I reach out via e-mail and left phone messages for two weeks before arrival to inquire about a special request. Only to get a call two days upon arrival. Had I been made aware of the painting and no pool I would have rebooked and stayed elsewhere. The unit is very nice, well-kept and location is what we like. I feel I should not had to pay full price due to no being able to see out any windows, No pool access as marketed. I spoke with the H.O.A. chairman, he stated all owners were aware of the schedule. I should have been informed of the painting and no Pool. Coming back from the beach, We cleaned out feet and chairs at the wash area to the garage. The painters were spraying which I ended up getting paint on my glasses and watch, due to the garage door being open and paint was pulled through on us. I called management several times during our stay, no one ever returned my calls. Pluses. The microwave was sparking and did not work, we called for maintenance, Mark brough us a countertop unit. Management is not responsive. I would not book again through them. Michael and family

We let them know it didn't have enough rooms for our family and we needed a refund. They will not respond via emails or phone calls via their answering service and VRBO will not help. SUPER disappointing because we have used Mock's for 30+ years in Amelia Island. Not sure what else to do except have attorney involvement.

There are many rental options through this bussiness. We spent three nights in The Captain's House…read moreon the 3rd floor, unit A3. The unit is shotgun style, and as you walk in the door after taking several flights of stairs you walk down the long hall. On your left is the master bedroom with a private bath. Next is the second bathroom and then the utilities. We got use from the washer and dryer. Next the unit opens into the dining room where the table and rather heavy wood and metal chairs take up most of the space. To the left is the second bedroom and then the kitchen. The furniture in the front living room was comfortable. Ocean view decks are only divided by a wooden railing and the distance of the stairs that led downstairs to the boardwalk out to the beach. If you've got noisy neighbors you'll hear them on the deck. There is free WiFi in the unit, but it's slow. We have Verizon wireless and frequently had irregular and slow service depending on where we stood, time of day and maybe even the alignment of the planets, I don't know. I got use out of the TV in the master bedroom in the evenings when the rest of our small group of four were in the main room watching something else. The curtains in the master bedroom are very sheer and do little to nothing to block out sunlight or keep prying eyes from looking up from the street level if the lights are on inside. We ran out of toilet paper on our second day and there was none to be found in the unit. On our last morning, the plastic toilet arm in the master bath broke. Plastic, really? We lucked out and there was enough laundry soap to do two small loads, but that was it. In the master bedroom we thought that the a/c was rather noisy, but we were tired enough to not let it bother us. Kitchen was adequate but there was little else. Bring your own oil, seasonings.... $200+/night in mid May. Unit is a long 2+ miles from the downtown area so a car is useful. There is a mini mart/gas station several blocks north as well as a park.

DON'T RENT FROM AMELIA ISLAND VACATIONS!!!!…read more Every review said it and we didn't listen. Please listen and don't rent from the Dunlops or anything they touch, including Elizabeth Pointe Lodge. Misrepresenting the properties they are renting - check. A cheap hotel is better maintained at a fraction of the price - see pictures. Unresponsive when issues arise - check. Their manager pulled over to text us but could not call us, neither have the Dunlops to date despite multiple attempts. Their employees are leaving them - check. We were told that 2 cleaning people left in the last week and the service person was shocked at the maintenance of our unit. The properties they rent are not safe - check. Our unit had one functioning smoke detector from 2005, exposed wires in the shower, unsecured shower doors and other safety issues. If you don't care about safety, the Dunlops and AIV have you covered! Overall, this is not how to run a business but how to take advantage of people who are on vacation. There are plenty of reputable rental and management companies on Amelia Island and Amelia Island Vacations is not one of them. Do your homework before you put your money, trust and safety in a rental. If I were to do it again on Amelia Island, I would stay away from this group. We wish we would have listened to the reviews as we really loved the area...
