A very basic NS Rail station in The Netherlands. It certainly is a fully functional train station near Gouda, Zuid-Holland. There are four tracks that roll through here. No human people here to help you...all Kiosks...no food places to buy that beer or wine for your trip...(food too)!
Nothing fancy, they do have the OV-Fiet (rental bikes)...not a lot of bikes available, but very nice these automated bike rental kiosks are at such a small station.
I found the station quite comfortable in the cold winds of late January. There are no closed warming rooms, but they have strategically placed glass walls which block the wind from wherever it blows - while you're standing of course...not sitting. There are a few benches, but not protected by wind.
Plenty of cover from the rain though...it is Holland...and it rains all the time.
Overall, a nice stop - it's not like you're going to avoid it from bad ratings, it's the only game in town. But if you want to catch the big trains, you need to go into the "Big City" of Gouda....a 40 minute cycle away. read more
