I contacted Stat Locksmith in Poughkeepsie, NY around 3:45 pm on 3/11/2026 to schedule an appointment to have a total of 4 locks changed on three doors at my rental house. I had availability later that day or after 11 am on 3/12/2026. I received a text within 10 minutes that Dee would be able to arrive on 3/11/2026 in the 5 - 6 pm time frame. Dee contacted me to let me know that he was on his way and his expected arrival time. When he arrived, I had him check one of the door knobs because I thought that it should also be changed. He tested it and agreed. Because he didn't have the knob that matched the best for my house in his truck, he contacted the Kingston, NY office then went and got it. On his way back, he texted me to let me know that he was 8 minutes out. Dee installed the door knob, recored all 4 locks then made 10 keys for me. We tested all of the keys in each of the locks. There were a couple key issues so he remade them. He also aligned one of the locks to make it turn easier. The bill for all of his lock work, the new door knob, travel to get it plus the new keys was $460. I was extremely happy with Dee's customer service and expertise, as well as the price. I want to give a special shout out to this company, and especially Dee. They provided great customer service. I know calling a locksmith to make a new key for your car on a weekend will cost money. But these guys came out super late at night, solved the problem and I now have a key that works, and it would've been the same amount for a tow plus the dealership to make a new key (who I know would've told me I need something else fixed while I was there). When I thought it was a lost cause, the owner reached out to me to say they could get the job done and they did. Dee was super professionsal and a master at the craft. I lost my keys and spent the whole day searching for my spare to no avail. I looked up a local locksmith to see if anyone could make a new key without the original. We needed a new lock set for a 1950's door mechanism. Couldn't get keys or service for it any more.
