With their education, knowledge & hands on experience I truly feel lucky they are in our local area! I have gained personal knowledge to address my issues & to practice in my everyday life. My thanks from the front desk scheduler's to my hands on treatment-team. I feel like I have my everyday life back! Thank you all!

I've had back problems for years and have seen several physical therapist. This guy refused to talk about my past treatments or the 20+ years I've been dealing with my back problems. He asked what my physical therapy goals were. After saying what I wanted to be able to do, he said that having goals is the reason I've failed to recover. He had me stand nose to a wall with an audience of other patients before what felt like him stabbing me in the back with some metal peace. He then went on to push my left leg so far up over my body he lifted my hip then my lower back off the table, folding me in half before leaning into it, straining my lower back. Ten minutes after I meet him, I was sent out the door that I would come back several days a week for supervised exercising. Subsequent back spasms from the overstretching wreaked my body. It took four days before I was able to take a full breath; a week later, I still don't have range of motion in my hips and shoulders and have several ribs and my left collar bone have subluxed (20+ years of this, I know what feels like what). I'm lucky that my coworkers are able to help carry my weight, I haven't been able to fully preform the duties of my job since the visit. Horrible place, horrible people; they will hurt you to save their pride. This treatment was at the Coquille office specifically, but I'm posting this across the company locations to warn people against what the company considers an acceptable quality of care.

Mixed feelings about this clinic. I found the staff I had contact with to be competent,…read moreknowledgeable, kind and professional. They provided me with aftercare instructions. Then the problem: I was told by two people that someone would call me with test results that day. As I thought about my appointment, I realized I had 4 questions about my understanding of the verbal and written instructions. I am 74 and it takes me awhile to process. Instead of a call I received a paragraph note about my results. It ended with a note saying call or contact the clinic via My Chart if I had questions. So I did with a list of my 4 questions. The response was to contact my primary care. I asked if I could still expect the promised call and was told no. My disappointment in the clinic is what I perceived to be a discrepancy in what I was told and what happened with my test results. But I can understand the crazy busyness of an urgent care clinic and it was a Monday and I know people save their problems over the weekend..

I will definitely think twice before I go back there for service again!!! Staff should also be reminded that they work at a care facility & they should at least pretend to care instead of being snooty. PA was Casey Quayle, we were NOT impressed!!!

Mr. Steven Shipley, physical therapist at Central Physical Therapy, is a Zen master, a Jedi knight…read moreof physical therapists! I wish I could explain how intuitive and knowledgeable he is. After many decades of my doing dentistry mostly standing, he figured out how to get my body back on track by reawakening my core muscles which I had turned off by constant disuse. He gave me exercises to do during my day to reawaken my deeper musculature so it could start again properly supporting my body. Just as one example...gripping my feet into the floor, massaging the floor so I activate my core musculature. Another--doing "snow angels" while lying on a foam roller (and other secret exercises while you're down there that you have to find out by coming here ASAP!) In addition, he started me on strengthening exercises (that involve stretching at the end of the stroke) for my legs. Now I have to live by the Nike mantra, "Just Do It!" The good news--Medicare coverage is great, especially if you do some of this at home daily. Then you can go and get your weekly Steve "fix" for many weeks to come. Get a referral for every year to keep yourself tuned up!

I had one hip replaced three years ago, and recently my surgeon recommended physical therapy to help strengthen my hip and back mussels in hopes of putting off replacing the other hip. At 69 I was sceptical but then I met Steve Shipley at Central PT. Steve has not only been a great coach, he has been able to make excersising "almost fun" Steve is not for wimps but he is fantastic at what he does. My last appointment is tomorrow but I feel I will stay on my program, and will be much stronger in my daily activities, and a much safer scuba diver. All my friends want to go in and see who this person is that finally motivated me. The entire staff is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I would highly recommend them, Marge Strother
