Feels like it is at the end of the world, cut off from the world. This lighthouse is a tourist attraction in the middle of no where. After driving down winding country roads, you reach a good sized car park where you park the car and go for a ~2 mile walk up an extremely narrow road with sea on one side and hill on the other to get to this lighthouse.
We had booked a cottage through rural retreats to stay in here and that worked out pretty well. Albeit this is one of the worst maintained properties of rural retreat, the experience was good. For people who stay there, you are allowed to take the car through this extremely narrow road (which allows only 1 vehicle, that u need to stop for pedestrians) to get to this cottage.
If the weather is good, the treks around the lighthouse is quite something. We climbed up the hill and went for a good 2 mile trek to get to the beach on the other side of the hill and ended up spotting wild seals chilling. Being one with the nature.... a treat to any nature lover. read more
