I do not recommend this ABA agency. Then, they requested that we change insurance for my kids in order to keep services, but without behavior technicians. They also failed to maintain services until we fully transitioned to a new company. I am very frustrated with this company. Don't waste your time because they lack professionalism and fail to fulfill the basics.

Well, what can I say about ABAcus? Probably too many amazing things to fit in this review. But…read moremaybe I can express how much they have helped my family and I know they can help yours too. Our ASD Story: We have a now 3 1/2 year old who was diagnosed Autism a little after his 2nd birthday. And of course being first time parents we were totally overwhelmed and scared about our new path that we were being placed on. As many of you who are going through the evaluation process it is hard on the parents. This was the same for us. Not knowing how to decide what services to use, or methods to implore left us feeling extremely underqualified as parents. We didn't know what to do or who to turn to. Luckily San Diego County does have very good recourses for those effected by developmental differences. After diagnosis through the San Diego County Regional Center system we were assigned to the ABAcus team as our service providers. Boy can I tell you this was the best thing that could have happened to our family. When we first meet the wonderful folks at ABAcus my sweet boy seemed to lost in his own world. He would not respond to his name, make eye contact, and had lost any language that he had learned in the first few months of his life, just to name a few of his quirks. But when we look at my boy now I am truly amazed by his accomplishments and growth. He now will make and maintain eye contact (even if it's only a few seconds - progress is progress), will respond to his name, and is growing his language every day. And I mean every day - We do ABA Mon-Fri. NONE of this would have been possible without ABAcus. We have two service providers and a supervisor that regularly work with my kiddo, and let me you how amazing they are. They are patient yet firm. They are ALWAYS evaluating his goals to make sure that he is getting as much out of our time together as possible, and it shows. I can tell that they really care about my son and my family. Not only to they care about my son's growth and progress, they also take the time to help us learn the skills we need to help our son succeed. If you are looking for an ABA provider you should definitely give ABAcus a try. They have given us back the ray of light and for that I cannot ever really express how grateful I am for ABAcus, and the folks make it as amazing at it is....

In August 2025, he stopped receiving OT services as MeBe lost 3 OT providers at the same time. He was placed on waitlist until MeBe hires a new provider. Three months later he was discharged from OT services without opportunity to discuss this decision. If you want your child to received continues services, MeBe is not the right place for it.

Despite the important work being done in the ABA field, the company consistently fails to support…read moreits employees in meaningful or sustainable ways. One of the most concerning issues is the lack of communication and transparency. Employees often receive no notice when clients cancel sessions, resulting in wasted trips and unpaid time. In such cases, you're either told to clean the facility (an unreasonable expectation outside the role of a Behavior Technician) or you're abruptly reassigned to cover another BT's session without context or consent. The pay is among the lowest in the ABA field, especially when weighed against the emotional and physical demands of the job. The work environment is poorly maintained, with cleanliness being a recurring problem. The facility does NOT look like those posted online. The children's bathrooms and common areas are often unsanitary, raising valid concerns about hygiene, safety, and the general quality of care. A particularly troubling practice is the use of personal items like wipes brought in for one child that get used on other children, without the caregiver's knowledge. Additionally, BTs are often left in the dark about health-related issues like lice until after the situation is already "handled," which puts both staff and other clients at risk. Unsurprisingly, the company suffers from a very high turnover rate, which reflects the broader issues within the organization and further destabilizes the workplace. Overall, they show little regard for employee well-being, professional development, or proper client care. Even by looking at the reviews the only 5 star reviews are for speech therapists, not from the work being done!

I am very sick with a cold, and on the website it says to give a 2 day notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. I called today (Monday) to reschedule my appointment which is on Wednesday, 2 days from now, but was told since my appointment is at 11 am and I called at 3 pm today that it is considered less than a 2 day notice and they want to charge me a $100 cancellation fee. I said nevermind, I will just show up sick, sneezing and coughing instead because my copay is $15. They want sick people in their office, and that makes me not want to come back when I am well. Because of this I will not be returning after this week, calling at 3 pm 2 days prior is more than enough notice, especially because I just wanted to reschedule to the same time next week, not cancel, but now I will not be rebooking after this week.

The therapist didn't ask for it back and my son often needs something in his hands because of sensory issues .When we confronted the therapist and asked what happened she said she couldn't recall this which was a huge red flag to me . The therapist made it seem like nothing to this extent even happened . So was my son just making all this up ? I did call the owner and the only thing I could say that I did not appreciate as a parent is that she made it seem like this had to be a misunderstanding. "This was out of character for her staff". She did offer to change therapist . When I wrote a follow up email to her regarding the incident I never heard back from her personally .
